Description

The space

This quaint cabin is perfect for a couple’s getaway or for a memorable small family retreat. The cottage interior, design details and period-relevant furnishings enhance the knotty pine walls, stonework and hardwood flooring.

Crack open the board games, stroll through the adjacent meadow, wander over to the golf course or cuddle in front of the wood-burning stove while taking in the views of the surrounding forest. Prepare meals in the new, retro and well-equipped kitchen, or walk to nearby fine dining. Spend your time lounging on the sunny deck or stroll to the nearby public beach. For Winter guests Northstar and Diamond Peak resorts are just down the road. Non-skiers who still enjoy the seasonal outdoors can still pack in a fun day of sledding at public snow hill also just down the road.

This adorable home away from home will lure you back time and time again for more memorable Tahoe experiences.

The downstairs bedroom features an antique double iron bed with cozy patchwork Pottery Barn bedding. The upstairs loft has three twin beds and a TV/DVR for the guest(s) who wants to sneak away from the downstairs crowd watching separate programming on the larger television.

This cabin oozes warmth, privacy, charm and all just two city blocks from Tahoe Vista's treasured Moon Dune beach. Start your memory making with a parsailing adventure, kayak rentals, golf, a scenic hike, nearby skiing or just a good book on a sunny deck or in front of a warm fire. Let the memory making begin.

Guest access

The cabin is a single, free-standing structure on its own lot. The driveway can easily accommodate two vehicles. There is no garage.

Interaction with guests

We do not live on the property but are available by phone or text for a quick response, questions, needed suggestions, etc.

The neighborhood

The Tahoe Vista-King's Beach village(s) are the hub of beautiful Northshore. As visitors drop into the Tahoe Basin from Hwy 267, or approach using Hwy 89, they are welcomed by breath taking lake views, expansive south-facing beaches, quaint restaurants and shops all in walking distance from the cabin.

The center of Tahoe Vista-Kings Beach features a California State Park called the Kings Beach State Recreation Area with plentiful recreation opportunities and amenities. The area also is home to many special events including the SnowFest Parade in March, the free Friday night Music on the Beach concert series and the July 3rd (yes, the day prior to July 4th) Fireworks Show launched from an anchored barge.

This is my second time staying here. First time I went for a solo get away. This time with my husband and 3 kiddos. The layout is great and accommodated us very well. It's a very special place.

Kelly's cabin was really charming. Although it appears to be newly remodeled it really captures that Old-Tahoe retro feel. It is cute, cozy, bright, with lots of windows looking out at the trees and snow. The kids loved the upstairs sleeping space and they loved playing in the snow in the large backyard. Kelly was a really responsive and warm host. The whole check in and out was really easy and well-explained. We loved it and plan to return!
