Tiny Home meets 5 star suite carved out of two 20' shipping containers with a million miles of ocean travel between 'em, converted into a 320 Sq ft. luxury King suite. The Desert Dream Suite is 1 of 3 private, apartment suite units available for guest rental at El Ranchito Wellness Inn and Spa. Beautifully-appointed, 70% glass for stellar views, shared access to pool, private jacuzzi, 4 person full spectrum sauna, hammocks, patios, lounges, daybeds, fire tables, epic views & wide open spaces.

The space
Please note: the "Entire Place" designation refers to our guests having the entire Desert Dream Shipping Container Suite tiny home to themselves, and it is indeed a self-contained, standalone studio home, with a super comfy King-sized bed at its center; its own private bathroom, kitchen, patio, and super cool AC. This luxurious tiny home is one of the three on the property and comes with full access to the common areas: lap pool, hot tubs, outdoor showers, fire tables, hammocks, patios and gorgeous environs, perfect for every kind of activity from meditative chilling and stargazing to action-adventuring.

Guest access
The Desert Dream Shipping Container Suite at El Ranchito Wellness Inn and Spa is its own standalone tiny home with private bathroom, kitchen, and patio. Depending on occupancy, guests may be sharing the common patio areas including the outdoor lounges, lap pool and spa patio, hammock palapa areas, and private hot tub sanctuary (the hot tub cabana is completely enclosed, with no sightlines in, and it locks from the inside for our guests' privacy. Otherwise all Desert Dream Suite guests have full run of our five acres of open desert (and a labyrinth, and sand art areas) along with out other guests, and can hike, run, and ride right out from the front door at will.

* We charge $69. for each guest over 2. Please let us know ahead of time and make payment arrangements for any extra guests
* We charge $69. for each dog (or cat) guest, per stay, and payment arrangements need to be in place before your arrival, your pet must stay with you at all times, and you must clean up after them.
* There's no cigarette smoking within 20 yards of the property.

Joshua Tree Ranchito Regio de la Playa is only 8 miles from the Visitors Center and Eastern entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, and is the closest entrance to many of the parks top destinations, including the Bell, Cottonwood Springs, Jumbo Rocks, Ryan Mountain, Sheep's Pass, Skull rock and Split rock areas.

While at the ranch, guests are also only 4 miles away from the legendary Smith's Ranch drive in movie theater (one of the last of it's kind in the country), the famous 29 Palms Inn, the infamous Palms Saloon, and the wonderfully kitschy Foster's Freeze ice cream parlor. For awesome and totally unique hiking, running, mountain biking, off roading and horseback riding however you never need to get in your car. You can walk out the front door and take off, devising your own routes and outdoor adventures over miles and miles of scenic Mojave desert splendor. Wildlife is abundant in the park and at the ranchito and while lounging on the lanai, in a hammock, or in the jacuzzi our guests regularly spot coyotes, jackrabbits, all types of birds and the occasional bobcat.
We are a pet friendly spot, for well-behaved animals only please, and we charge dogs a $69. FEE PER PET, per stay. The ranch features a fenced-in dog area, and a dog day bed, so our four-legged family members can enjoy roaming the desert safely; but please note we can't welcome chewers, diggers, or aggressive types, and payment and a pet waiver form must be in place before arrival.

The ranch can also be rented for functions and group retreats and we have had as many as two dozen guests come together, pitch tents, or sleep in hammocks and party, study, or meditate all together, using the ranch house as a great room: meeting, cooking, eating, working and showering area. Given enough notice, and based upon availability, yoga and mindfulness instructors, massage and bodywork therapists, and climbing, hiking, cycling, ATVing, and horseback riding guides are available for hire.
Also, in nearby Pioneertown, people come from all over the world to visit the internationally-renowned Pappy and Harriet's concert venue and wild west town (Paul McCartney recently played there).

The Desert Dream Shipping Container Suite is part of the El Ranchito Wellness Inn and Spa Center and located in a jewel of the majestic Mojave desert that is home to completely unique 360 views of the ancient sea that was once here. There are no close neighbors, and only wide open skies. Zero light pollution makes stargazers dizzy with delight, and sunsets and sunsets truly amazing. There are plenty of white sand roads that lead into the hills and Mars-like backcountry areas that surround the ranch, design your own hike, run or ride, leaving right from the front door. We are close to the coolest entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, the Northern entrance (those in-the-know will tell you this is by far the best entrance to the park, with quick access to prime locations like the Jumbo Rocks, Skull Rock, Ryan, Cap Rock and Hidden Valley areas, and, best of all, no long lineups to get in), and equally close to iconic Joshua Tree locations like the 29 Palms Inn, The Palms, and one of the last, single screen, drive-in movie theaters left in the country: Smith Ranch. Within easy driving distance are also the legendary Pappy & Harriets and Furstworld concert venues, and in the closest town, 29 Palms, there's a good assortment of Asian, Mexican, and American restaurants, as well as a big grocery store, Stater Brothers.
