The apartment is located on the second floor
(US third floor) of a Regency Mansion block within a historical conservation area of London's West End.
The bedroom houses a fabulous, hand made, Kingsize bed (US Queen) with luxury 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding and the best quality mattress for a wonderful nights sleep. Guest dressing gown, slippers and plenty of fluffy towels are provided along with a selection of luxury toiletries.
The property has been refurbished to a truly five star standard with a brand new designer kitchen, luxury pure wool carpets throughout and exquisite, functional designer furniture.
The apartment has all new appliances such as microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, single oven, gas hob, large fridge freezer and a Vita mix. Free high speed Wi Fi and a small DVD library is available. UK Apple chargers for IPhone 4, IPad 2 and Macbook Pro laptops are also provided as well as a brand new, powerful hairdryer.
The bathroom, whilst compact, provides both a bath tub and a shower facility.
This accommodation is only suitable for a maximum of one adult guest and is not designed for parties or entertaining. It is a non smoking, no pet property. There is no elevator and there are four short flights of stairs up to the property from the communal entrance.

You will be sharing the space with my daughter, a professional woman in her forties. She is warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about London and so will happily offer you guidance and recommendations. You will have your privacy respected but she will also be available to chat if you fancy some social interaction.

W1 is London's most central West End post-code with everything you could wish for just a few moments walk away. With Oxford Street, Regent Street, Soho, Mayfair, Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square and London's theatre district just round the corner, your private room in this exceptional property is perfectly situated for you to get the most out of your London stay.
Have all the creature comforts and safety of home sharing this quiet, five star apartment whilst enjoying everything London life has to offer on your door step. With the iconic BT Tower as your local landmark you will never get lost finding your way home from anywhere in central London. At the end of the road to the right is Oxford Street, (London's main shopping street) and to the left is the beautiful Regents Park. A better, more central and accessible London location is hard to imagine.
The apartment is situated on a quiet, one way, residential street running parallel to Great Portland Street with its wonderful eclectic mix of cafes, bars and restaurants. Oxford Circus is just five minutes walk away. For those who like to keep active there are numerous gyms and yoga studios just round the corner. Even Lord's Cricket Ground is within walking distance. This peaceful residential oasis sits right in the heart of everything London has to offer, yet remains wonderfully free from unwanted noise and late night revelers when you want to relax and sleep after a hard days work or sightseeing.
The apartment is so well located that you can walk to most of London's main attractions. If you find yourself getting weary simply hail a London Black cab, hop onto a double decker bus or take the London Underground to explore further afield.
All the London Underground lines (known as The Tube) are easily accessible, with both Oxford Circus, Great Portland Street, Regents Park and Goodge Street Tube Stations located a few minutes walk from the flat. If you fancy overground travel, buses to the whole of the rest of London are available on Oxford Street, just at the end of the road. The mainline London railway stations of Euston, Kings Cross and Paddington are all about three stops on the Tube away or a few minutes in a cab. If you are traveling from Heathrow Airport you can take the Paddington Express into central London (15 minutes) and, from Paddington Station, be at the flat in less than thirty minutes.

The apartment is located in Fitzrovia, in the heart of London's West End. Once home to writers such as Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw and more recently Lady Gaga, Madonna and Guy Ritchie. Numerous media companies and the headquarters of the BBC are based in the area, hence its vibrant, celebrity filled buzz.
Oxford Street (five minutes walk away) is the mecca of shopping in London. There are hundreds of stores running from Marble Arch to Tottenham Court Road with the most expensive found on New Bond Street, South Molton Street, Saville Row and Conduit Street.
A hive of entertainment, London's West End offers theatre, music, comedy bars and restaurants. Take a wander down Wardour Street, Dean Street, Shaftesbury Avenue and the Haymarket to experience the centre of nightlife in London.
Shoppers will also enjoy the Covent Garden markets and boutiques in Soho and Carnaby Street. For some true British style head to Liberty of London (about ten minutes walk from the flat), full of beautifully-designed goods housed in its original Tudor building. On Regent Street, you'll find Hamleys, which claims to have been the finest toy shop in the world for the last 250 years.
Westminster describes the area around the Palace of Westminster (also known as the Houses of Parliament) and is home to many of London's prestigious monuments and attractions. Enjoy the Royal Parks; St James's Park, Green Park & Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, the home of the Queen and St James's Palace, situated in Pall Mall.
Attractions within walking distance of the flat include Buckingham Palace, The British Museum, The London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Soho, Oxford Street, Tottenham Court Road, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, The British Museum, Somerset House, the Royal Parks and Regents Park.

Everything in the property has been bought with quality and luxury in mind and with great care and attention to detail. The flat has been impeccably refurbished and decorated to the highest standards and you will always find it pristinely clean with all linen and bedding freshly washed and prepared for your stay. The only thing we ask is that you respect it and leave it as you found it.
Check In/Check Out
Check In is available at 2pm on your arrival day and Check Out is at 11am on your departure day.
This apartment is a one bedroom flat located in a Regency Mansion block within a historical conservation area of W1. Whilst it is considered a large flat in this very central part of London, (600 square feet) there are compromises with regard to size in some areas. The bathroom is compact. It houses everything you need including both a shower and bath tub. However if a large bathroom is a deal breaker then this may not be the property for you.
The property is located on the second floor of a mansion block, four short flights of stairs from the communal hallway entrance. The vast majority of central London residential properties were not built in the era of elevators. There is no elevator and depending on your check in time, it may be may necesary for you to carry your luggage up to the flat without assistance. Please bear this in mind for your arrival. If you have serious mobility/health issues and stairs or lifting are a problem then a first or ground floor property may be a better option.
Cleaning and Linen Fee
The cleaning and linen change fee of £45 applies for stays of 7 days or less. For longer stays our housekeeper will provide cleaning and a linen change every week i.e. for each period of 7 days or less and after Check Out. Fees will be charged accordingly at £45 per clean.
Storage space is limited in this property. Depending on the amount of luggage, you may need to store a bag under the desk in the bedroom. For clothing, there is plenty of drawer space in the bedroom and a small hanging space for light items. There is also limited hanging space in the hall cupboard, however this is normally quite sufficient for stays of up to a week or so.
You will not find air conditioning in rental properties in London as our weather is rarely hot enough to require it. Whilst this apartment has no formal air conditioning, it does have many large traditional sash windows which, when warm, act as natural air conditioning due to the constant circulation of air above and below the sash. There is also considerable air flow through the property from the back to the front.
Telephone & Printing Facilities
Please be aware that we not have free local calls in the UK so you will rarely find a local call facility in rental properties in the UK. However in any mobile phone shop in Heathrow or Gatwick airport (or central London) you can purchase a UK 'Pay As You Go' sim card for your mobile phone which will enable you to access telephone, email and GPS facilities whilst you are here.
There are a number of printing shops on Great Titchfield Street. 'Mailboxes Etc' at 72 Great Titchfield Street are very helpful and are also a very convenient Post Office.
Please bear in mind that this flat is in a quiet and respectful residential building and we have very good relationships with our neighbours. We would request that you honour the need for appropriate noise levels, especially later in the evening, at night time and particularly in the communal areas of the building such as the hallway and stairwell.
No entertaining or parties of any kind are permissable.
Number of Guests
The property accommodates a maximum of 1 guest only. No other overnight guests please. Guests must be over 25 years of age.
Smoking & Pets
No smoking or pets are permitted.
Please remove shoes on entering the property to preserve the carpets. No stiletto shoes inside the property please as they ruin the flooring.
Solvents and Dyes
Please refrain from using any hair dye or bottles of nail polish remover in the property. Nail polish remover pads are permissable but please keep them away from the furniture and linens.
Make Up removal and linens
Please remove make up before retiring at night so as not to stain the high quality towels and bed linens. Make up remover and pads are provided in the bathroom cabinet. Please do not use the towels as make up removers or with any kind of fake tanning products. Towels and bed linen soiled with make up or tanning products will be charged at full replacement cost from the security deposit.
Please note that smoking in any part of the property is prohibited and, if not respected, then the full security deposit will be charged in order to cover the costs of returning the flat to a clean and smoke free condition.
