About this listing
Super central and super quiet!
Your room in my flat is huge and has very high ceilings! It will be in the centre of former East Berlin, in a house built in 1882 and now traditionally renovated, with carpets in the staircase and stucco everywhere. It is in the middle of a huge cafe, bar, restaurant and club scene. - BUT our street is in a priviliged way unbelievably silent. Because of the very good public transport in this area, it's the best location to get to all the Sights of Berlin. For learning German: The Goethe Institute is a 2-minute-walk from here. The Museum Island with the world heritage Pergamon Museum, Monbijou Park, Operas, Theaters and Oranienbuger Straße are 3000 feet away. In short this area is the Berlin that is talked about. You'll get a big bed (5 feet), linens, sheets, towels and everything that is needed.
I speak German, Spanish, French, English and Dutch. Feel free to ask about everything you are interested in! I am looking forward to your visit!
And for getting home:
My appartement is in walking distance to the bus wich brings you directly to Tegel-airport and to the train-station wich brings you directly to Schoenefeld-airport.
I am a quiet person who loves to have guests and to talk to people from all over the world.
Elisabeth made us feel welcome when we arrived. She showed us around the apartment and she kept us supplied in a few basic essentials while making every effort to ensure we were comfortable in the unusually hot weather. The apartment was in an ideal central location close to all transport routes and options. She was very helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit. I would certainly recommend Elisabeth's apartment and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks for all your hospitality.
I had a most wonderful 2-week stay at Elizabeth. She made me fell so welcomed and right at home. The room is extremely well located and a lot more more spacious than it looks in the pictures. It is very sunny, clean, private and comfortable. It is a perfect base to go an explore Berlin and come home for a restful sleep. This was my first Airbnb experience, and it totally exceeded my expectations. Do not hesitate to book a stay there, you will be totally pleased.
Elizabeth made us feel welcome, the room was big and the neighbourhood was nice. It was a surprise for us that Elizabeth also stayed in the appartment but it was no problem at all! She was really helpfull and we had lots of privacy. We would definitely recommend this place.
I feel very lucky to have stayed with Elizabeth while in Berlin. She is a kind, friendly and very helpful host and I had a lovely time with her. Her room is much bigger than it looks in the photograph and feels spacious and very comfortable. The location is excellent, close to great shops, restaurants and cafes and within easy walking distance of the major museums on the museum island and to great public transport links at Alexander Platz. The bed is comfortable and the room is quiet at night. Her balcony is gorgeous, full of flowers and a pleasure to sit out on and relax in the evening. I highly recommend staying with her.
Room is even more spacious than it looks in the pictures. Elisabeth is a very kind host and the location is right in the heart of Mitte. Highly recommended!

I have two adult sons, one of them sometimes lives here in my flat. He studies fine art (painting).
I'm living here in this part of East Berlin for already 32 years, so I can tell a lot about this place I love.
