  • This was our first Airbnb experience and we are really happy with it.
We have spent 6 weeks at Karene's place and had a wonderful time.
The apartment is very cosy, clean and well equipped, we felt like home!!
Karene is very nice and welcoming. She will help you on any matters and respond very quickly if you have to contact her.
We truly recommend this place for a short or long stay.

  • Our third stay at Karene's apartment, always a good experience. Definitely recommended. A cozy place, an amazing spot in NY (in my opinion the best) and a lovely host, very accommodating. In heavy winter an always warm bedroom awaiting, which was really important this year. Nice bed, nice shower. One flight of stairs, no big deal with luggage. Subway just one make a right/left away. Three times there folks, know what I am saying. Still thinking about it? Hurry up and book it fast!!

  • Everything about this apartment was excellent - location, beautifully styled & very clean, and wonderful communication with Karene who checked in with us regularly to ensure all was well. Would love to stay here again next time I find myself in NYC, highly highly recommend!

  • The location was amazing and Karene was a fabulous host! Everything was so close and we really felt like we were locals. Karene checked in with us throughout our stay and was so efficient, it made our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back, couldn't rate this apartment highly enough, it definitely lived up to expectations.

  • We had a wonderful two weeks staying in Karene's apartment- it was a cosy, comfortable and convenient place to be!
We would recommend it to anyone coming to New York.
    Thanks Karene!

  • We stayed in Karene's apartment for a week and it was perfect. We found the location really convenient - close to lots of restaurants, shops & only a few mins walk to the subway.
The apartment is a great size for a couple and comes stoked with everything you would need. Karene was very helpful and always easily contactable. Her apartment was a fantastic little home away from home!

  • We had a great time staying in Karene's apartment. The location is brilliant. Lots of amazing eateries all in walking distance, we were spoilt for choice everyday (do yourself a favor and get a toasted sandwich at Murray's Cheeses - Oprah endorsed!). The best thing about the Village is you are still walking distance to the hustle and bustle of NY. We walked to Times Square, Central Park etc. It was the best way to see everything. The apartment itself is small, but big enough for a couple. A little on the noisy side, but they were doing road works outside our window most of the week so probably more bad luck for us than anything else. Lastly, the rooftop is stunning. Sweeping views of the city which are breathtaking - which was further complemented by the bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 day stay in Karene's apartment which not only met but exceeded our expectations, in an excellent location close to some of Manhattan's key subway lines. Though just one bedroom, it's a clean, spacious, light and airy apartment, simple but comfortable and homely, stocked with everything visitors need. Its walk-up one flight to the floor above the street means it feels excitingly linked to its neighbourhood while nevertheless feeling separate, peaceful and safe. We were always able to relax and unwind after long days of walking off the Big Apple :) The building's rooftop access is another excellent feature of which we made good use! Karene herself is a charming and perfect host: even though she was unavoidably detained during our visit, she could be contacted readily by phone or email and she always responded swiftly and helpfully to our various questions. We had no trouble settling in. She is a truly generous and thoughtful host. We totally loved the historic charm of the West and Greenwich Village area. For us it was the perfect place to stay and we would absolutely stay here again! Thanks again Karene :)

  • We stayed at Karene's apartment for 2 weeks. It's perfectly located in the lively West Village with plenty of restaurants. The subway station's are within walking distance (5 minutes max).
Karene organised a big surprise for us when she discovered that the water was turned off during the daytime (for just two days) due to construction work in the street.
The roof-top terrace is ideal for having a drink and relax. Also the laundrette downstairs is practical. We'll recommend this apartment to anyone who's looking for a nice stay in New York. Staying here will make you feel like a New Yorker rather than a tourist.
