Description

The space

Loft in a boutique building located in the trendy Leslieville neighbourhood.

This one bedroom, open concept loft has a queen bed and a large couch for an additional guest. Beautiful 210 square foot furnished terrace, landscaped with greenery and equipped with a full-size gas BBQ. Terrace is covered, allowing for rain or shine use. This former garment factory was converted into condo lofts 5 years ago and features 12.5 foot ceilings, stainless steel appliances and a gas range. Kitchen fully stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils. 40 inch LCD television with AppleTV & Netflix. Wi-Fi Internet. Hairdryer.

The property is located in Leslieville, full of great restaurants and famous for eclectic antique and clothing shops. Many, many highly rated restaurants within minutes of the loft including: Lil' Bacci, Ruby Watchco (Lynn Crawford), Enotca Ascari, Goods & Provisions, Table 17, Bonjour Brioche, Lady Madmalade, and more. 10 minutes further East will take you to the beautiful Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto. 12 minutes to Eaton Centre downtown.

Complimentary spirits (variable, e.g. Sherry) for guests to enjoy.

This is a Gay-friendly property in one of the most gay-friendly cities in North America. LGBTQ guests are most welcome here.

3 TTC public transit options!!!
Right on the Queen Streetcar line (10-15 minutes to downtown, or East to the Beaches).
Short walk North to the Gerrard Streetcar line (which turns into Carleton/College line to University of Toronto / Little Italy / Ossington). Bus stop literally at your door: 72 route which takes you North to the Pape subway station, or southwest to Union Station in downtown Toronto.

GUESTS: For the security of my home, guests who wish to make a reservation must have a completed profile on Airbnb (including a photograph and Airbnb verified "Offline ID"). I will not rent to users with blank profiles.

Indoor parking available for short stays (up to one week). Long stays require parking permit (purchase). Security Guard. Secured Entry.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Use of the loft is exclusively for the guests making up the reservation. The unit is for accommodation, not for the hosting of events or parties of any kind. Violation of this policy will result in the loss of security deposit, additional financial penalties from Airbnb, and potential legal action.

Potential guests must have a clear, face shot photograph as uploaded to their Airbnb profile. Guests without positive reviews from previous Airbnb hosts may be required to provide additional information. VerifiedID/OfflineID process must be completed prior to your visit - no exceptions.

Guests agree to switch off the A/C when leaving for the day/several hours.

INTERNET: Guests have access to the internet for customary and reasonable use. Home internet plans in Canada are capped by bandwidth. I have 70 GB/month. This amount will be roughly pro-rated by length of stay (e.g. 17.5 gb per week, and so on). Overages incur a charge of $3/GB and will be deducted from the security deposit. Note, it is impossible to go over the bandwidth limit without knowing, as you are prompted and must acknowledge the online prompt to continue using the internet.

INSURRANCE:
Please note that as per Ontario law, any damages to the unit or loss of property will be processed through the insurance policy of the registered guest. For example, if water damage were caused by flooding as the result of improper use of the appliances, this claim will be processed through your homeowner or renter's insurance and you will bear all responsibility for payment of any and all deductibles.

LIABILITY: Renters bear responsibility for the proper and reasonable care of the loft during their stay. Damage to the loft, appliances, furniture, wall finishes, personal items, linens, and the structure itself will be charged to the renter (e.g. irresponsible use of the bathroom resulting in clogged sewer lines, damage to kitchen appliances, etc).

SUMMER NOTE: Considerable funds are spent making the terrace green! The plants are not only nice to look at but they create a privacy screen so you can enjoy the outdoor space in peace. As the plants are considered part of the contents of the loft, their costs will be deducted from the security deposit if they are neglected and die as a result of non-watering.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Use of the loft is exclusively for the guests making up the reservation. The unit is for personal accommodation, not for the hosting of events or parties of any kind. Violation of this policy will result in the full forfeiture of your security deposit, additional financial penalties from Airbnb, and potential legal action.

I'm passionate about the arts, food, culture, and this fabulous city! I enjoy cycling, rowing, kayaking and neighbourhood wandering and am very happy to help direct guests to opportunities to enjoy these activities in T.O. as well! As a foodie and huge fan of Toronto's many cultural festivals and artistic events, I have loads of tips and recommendations to share with visitors to Toronto. Whether you're interested in exploring Toronto's countless ethnic enclaves, finding the perfect brunch spot or a restaurant for a romantic evening, taking in the attractions or looking to explore the city's parks and trails, I'm ready and willing to share all that I know!
