We had the pleasure of being Martin's guests for 3 wonderful nights in his beautiful, secluded home. This was just what the doctor ordered for getting away and enjoying the scenery and comfortable setting. The bed was comfortable, the space was very private, and watching the tide come in and go out made for a perfect weekend. The description says that guest interaction was up to the guest, and we really only had a couple of messages back and forth, but checking in was a breeze, and he respected our privacy, and we, his. This was a great place for lazy mornings, with a k-cup machine and mini-fridge. Watch the sunset over the inlet, and the water creatures stir the water under the low tide. We didn't use the kitchen, but did find a couple paper plates to enjoy the smoked salmon and cheese we picked up at one of many roadside fresh seafood stores. Great location to discover the scenic Pacific Northwest. I traveled up 101 to Port Townsend (amazing little port city with a lively downtown full of shops and street musicians and historic buildings) while my husband attended a workshop in Shelton. On one day I simply used the wifi with my laptop to catch up on some work. With that scenery, I didn't mind the work at all! Make sure to double check where to park. It was a little tricky, but the dead end road lends itself to parking on the street. A side note: there is a steep hill from the road to the house, and getting down to the shore is steep and sometimes uneven. If climbing or uneven ground is a hinderance to you, it might be difficult to enjoy the most of this setting. I would definitely go back! Great value if you're wanting to find a quiet retreat!

This is an excellent place to stay. It is spacious and nicely furnished. Room to work and meet with guests. The view of the water is lovely and same for the grounds. We have already stayed here multiple times and will certainly stay again when we return to Olympia.

This is a perfect "get-a-way" place. Beautiful forested drive in, immaculate lodging and serene water view while relaxing on the deck. Great place.

This is an excellent place to stay. The house is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the water. The living spaces are roomy and very well decorated and maintained. If I visit Olympia again Martin's place would be my first choice. Paul Schneider

Easy going guy from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Speak English and Spanish fluently. I have been living in Oly for over 28 years so I call Oly my home town and I'm small business owner. Daughter moved out to college so I thought why not sharing the view and peacefulness of the place with others.
