The only problem with staying at Martin’s wonderful place is that we had so little time to enjoy it, both inside and outside. We were attending a three-day conference at Evergreen State College which is just a few minutes away. The house sits right on the inlet with lots of birds dipping for fish. Mature trees and other vegetation snuggles the house in their boughs. The inside isn’t just a bedroom, it is essentially an apartment with bedroom, full bathroom, office area with desk, computer and printer, and a very nice livingroom area. We also had kitchen privileges in the upstairs/main part of the house. The neighborhood is not close to anything other than the wonderful secluded forested area and Evergreen State College. This is not a city location with all you might want within walking distance. Martin met us when we arrived and showed us around his beautiful yard with lots of flowers (the ones the deer hadn’t eaten). All he asks is that you clean up after yourself. I recommend this rental for those who want to just relax, or those attending events at Evergreen. Thank you Martin.
Martin made us feel very welcome, when we arrived he was in the garden and we started with a first drink together. We had one floor for ourselves and we could use the big patio, the hammock and poolwith view on the inlet.
My wife and I both stayed at Martin's marvelous house. Our host made us feel very welcome, and was easy to contact. This quiet neighborhood was secluded and private, very much to our liking.
The space was so much more than we expected, and the views from the property are not to be missed. If you are staying near Olympia, this place is top notch, and cheaper than a Hotel of course.
I hope to stay here again some day soon. A+++, Five stars, thank you Martin! :)
Martin was an amazing host! He has a warm smile and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. He was great at communicating!
We had a lot of privacy, incredible view, and everything was very clean and comfortable.
Thanks again Martin for sharing your wonderful home!
We had such a great time staying at Martin's peaceful space. He immediately made us feel welcome, and told us that we were welcome to use the kitchen upstairs and to just ask for anything else that we needed. The listing was spot on, the space was well-stocked with coffee and towels and very clean, and the view of the inlet from the bedroom window was gorgeous. The location was quiet and secluded, but still a quick drive to Evergreen College and downtown Olympia. Pictures don't do the space justice; he keeps a lovely home.
Great spot and beautiful house. Wasn't able to meet Martin, but he was very responsive and friendly communicator.
