NEW: I uploaded a YouTube video walk-through of my house. Unfortunately, airbnb won't let me put the link to YouTube here, so if you go to YouTube on your own, and copy/paste this to the very end of the URL, you'll be able to see my video: /watch?v=NO82npOS9SA
Check it out!

Check In: You can check in anytime during the afternoon, but I do work during the day and usually have people leaving the same day you arrive. So during the week I typically will get home at 6pm to put on fresh linens and change the towels in the bathroom. Just be aware that if you arrive before 6pm during the weekday then the bedroom and bathroom won't have fresh linens/towels yet.

Check Out: Most people leave by noon on their departure date. If you wish to stay longer let me know so I can check with the next guests to see what time they plan on arriving at.

Note: My location is not ideal for the bus line. If you wish to use a bus while you are visiting San Diego, I recommend looking for another place to rent from.

I have my own bedroom, office and bath on second floor and am at work or in my home office most of the time so you have pretty much the run of the rest of the house with all the privacy you want. Also, I am very happy to offer advice when needed on where to go and what to see in San Diego to make your stay a vacation you'll love to remember. Book soon. I look forward to meeting you!

This is a no smoking house.

Guest Access

I installed an electronic keypad on the front door. Before your arrival I will email you the four digit code (usually the last four digits of your phone number). You can use your code to get in the house whenever you like and not worry about using a key.

  • Brian was a great host and made us feel very welcome during the stay. the seperate floor that he hosted to me and my brother was great for the privacy you'd like at nights. really loved the big kitchen which had all the amenities and the pool table at our floor was fun too!

thanks again Brian, when I come back to San Diego I'll definately will book your place!

  • I loved staying with Brian! He was such a gracious host and I loved how easy communication was with him. He's very hospitable and I really appreciated the welcome suitcase he lays out for you on the guest bed. I recommend taking full advantage of the backyard patio area and the jacuzzi. I will definitely be staying with when we come again!

  • Brian made my kids and I feel at home. My kid's felt a bit awkward when I first told me them Brian lives on second floor but they quickly got over their shyness and made themselves at home. This place is perfect! The kitchen is huge and it has everything. We saved lots of money by using his refrigerator and cooking. Our stay here was 5 nights and my kids and I had a hard time leaving. Beautiful big home, super safe and easy access to everything! Thank you Brian for making our vacation one of the best!

  • You! Go ahead and book! ;-) Brian is a great guy, replied extremely fast and everything was just super uncomplicated. The house is and the area are classy, the jacuzzi is great, the pool table also, the flatscreen is i guess 60" and a eine selection of movies is also availlable. You can reach la jolla and Mission bay and within minutes. Really no obstacles! Thanks again for having us Brian, if we get the chance to visit San Diego again we'll come back. :-)

  • Really awesome stay. I hope Brian continues to offer this place to other travelers! He is super laid back, and even though we didn't see him personally, was very communicative on phone. The place was very comfy, clean, and would definetly come again. Love that jacuzzi!

  • I throughly enjoyed the stay for my friends and me. We were really able to make ourselves at "home" and relax during our stay. Great place! I would stay again if the time came around.

  • I definitely recommend staying at Brian's place. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. His place has a quick access (2 min) to highway 805 which allows quick commuting wherever you need to go to. The Jacuzzi heats up quickly and I used it a couple of times during my 8 days stay. The pool table is also very nice. As mentioned, you get a full floor with living room, bathroom and bedroom. I used the fireplace every night to warm up the living room (very efficient!!) while keeping my bedroom cool for sound nights. Brian is very friendly and easy going.

  • This was my very 1st time using AirBnB and I was a little apprehensive on how it worked as I was renting a room in another person's house, traveling as a female, but I read all of Brian's reviews and felt very comfortable choosing his home when visiting San Diego.

I'M SO GLAD I DID! It was perfect. Brian was so accommodating and wonderful to work with. He immediately put me at ease.

Everything I needed was waiting for me, down to the special touch of a fresh rose in the restroom each day. The apartment floor was separate and secure, which made me feel very safe. Brian has it down to a science, so you don't even see him much, but when you do, he is upbeat, cheerful and ready to answer any questions.

The apartment itself was larger than any hotel suite I have ever seen. You have full use of an entire floor. Your own bedroom, a newly renovated private bathroom, your own large den and pool room. All the technology you want with large HD TV's in each room, your own wonderful fireplace and warm, inviting decor. Everything was really, really nice. On the main floor of the house is the large, gourmet kitchen. Everything I needed was there, from filtered water, coffee maker to even a VitaMix.

Head outside and you have a gorgeous Jacuzzi and deck. I loved that his house was conveniently located centrally within San Diego, so I was down at the beach in 15 minutes.

I will definitely be returning to Brian's next time I am in San Diego! This experience sold me on AirBnB, but something tells me I was spoiled with my first experience and Brian's home is "a find", which I highly recommend to anyone traveling to San Diego.

  • Brian's place is comfortable, clean and in a perfect location if you are going to be going to various spots around San Diego. The airbnb "suite" has a newly renovated bathroom and bedroom with a super comfy bed, tv, and lots of closet space. I was so happy to find an iron and hair dryer, since I had forgotten the latter. Parking is super easy, and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. Brian also uses a key code door entry, making it really easy to come and go.

Brian's place is in a more suburban, less walkable part of the city, but it's a quick drive to the pharmacy, grocery store, a few restaurants and coffee shops. I stocked up on some breakfast food and snacks, and that worked out really well.

All in all, it was a great space to stay for the few days I was in town for a workshop at UCSD.

I moved to San Diego in 1999 because I loved the sunshine and exercising outdoors. There are so many wonderful things to do here that it's hard to pick a favorite. When I first moved here, I immediately got scuba certified and learned how to windsurf. But it wasn't long before I discovered the amazing beach volleyball games they have on the weekends. That's where you could find me every Sunday! But I later got hooked on learning to sail and then on boot camps and now I love training for triathlons. So much to do here! I'm new to AirBNB and I'm really excited to meet new people visiting San Diego and hoping to help them find out about all the great things to do in this amazing city!
