My husband and I live in Inglewood (the non scary part) which is 6.62 miles from the beach, 6.95 miles from West LA and 4.9 miles from the Jefferson/ La Cienega Expo Line stop that will take you downtown in about 30 minutes (check out (website hidden)).
**Note -please no last minute booking requests as we need time to prepare the space for you
You would have your own room and bathroom. We can share the kitchen and living room area. The house has a yard and back patio as well. The bed is a queen sized memory foam mattress. There is internet (wired and wireless) and cable tv in the shared living room area. There is also plenty of parking. Our place is great for those who want to explore LA on vacation or for those needing a place to crash for a work trip. Contact us and we'll set you up!
We also have camping gear for rent for $30/trip!

We appreciated a friendly & warm welcome from Melanie & Scott who were very laid back, yet attentive. Everything was accurately described and the location was great historic little area close to where we needed to go & only a 7-10 minute drive from Trader Joe's for some groceries. The home itself has great character and Mel and Scott have done a nice job renovating it. It's obvious they love music and the industry! Music is a theme throughout the house with a little bit of retro vibe as well. The house is lived in and homey as well. If you are one to do a white glove test, they you won't want to stay here. But if you are looking for a comfortable, stay at home kind of feel with kind people and a great location, this is your spot! The bedroom has a queen memory foam bed and pillows which were VERY comfortable! The bedroom also had a private entrance as well as a private bathroom with a toilet and large shower. The bathroom had soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, tissues, and a little basket with trial sizes shampoos etc. Clean towels and wash cloths were provided. Scott got out the ironing board & iron for us and we were SO thankful because we had to pack 5 days of "business casual" in a tiny bag & everything was crazy wrinkled. We were welcomed to use the kitchen and living areas of the home as well. We made good use of the kitchen in the morning & late evening. There was oatmeal & apples for breakfast as well as tea. They are "tea people" not "coffee people". Lol. The instant coffee was fine, but for die hard coffee snobs you might want to bring a stash of coffee, they do have a coffee maker. The dog Harlee was by far the sweetest (and quietest) dog I have ever met in my life. She does shed a bit, if that's something that would bother you. We were very busy attending a conference from morning til late at night, so we didn't get a lot of interaction with the hosts, but when we did we really enjoyed them. They are really cool, interesting people. Fellow southerners I'd love to meet again one day!
This was a last minute booking and Melanie was very responsive and accommodating. The room was perfect! Spacious with a private bathroom, a REALLY comfy bed and a ceiling fan so it had great air flow! Private entrance was so nice and the house was easy to find with plenty of street parking. Their sweet dog was curious and loving, such a little sweetheart! Who knew such a great place and a cute little neighborhood was nestled so close to the airport? I travel to LA regularly and will definitely be back! Highly recommended!!
The place was perfect for our needs. Private entrance and bathroom and super close to the airport. Definitely will stay again. Thanks!
We had a wonderful stay. Melanie and her husband were great hosts! They were friendly and made themselves available but didn't gave us our privacy. The location was very convenient, both to the airport and Santa Monica and Venice beach, as well as Hollywood and downtown LA. A light breakfast was provided and on our last day Melanie bought us baked goodies. We loved their ever so sweet dog Harlee. She was barely noticeable noise-wise. The private bathroom and entrance was very convenient. I recommend this lovely home to anyone visiting. We felt very welcomed. Thanks guys!! And your music collection is superb! :)

Our stay was good. We liked the room and the location. The dog is really nice and was not a problem at all for us. The room smelled a little bit after dog, but it was ok. We liked our private entrance and the easy breakfast. It was a good stay for our last night, before heading to the Airport. I felt very safe in this neighbourhood.
Living in Melanie's home is a very nice choice. It's very quiet and the bed is comfortable. I love their yard very much. All of them are friendly. They have a pretty dog,Harlee. It's a really good girl. I would be back if I come to Los Angles again. Thank you for having us.
Staying with Melanie and Scott definitely made our trip easier. There was fresh fruit and breakfast in the morning and they let us use a portion of their refrigerator for food from our cooler.
The private entrance was nice because we came in late and didn't want to disturb anyone.
Harlee the dog was nice company in the mornings while we were getting ready.
It was a great place to stay and we would stay with them again.
