The space

Neighborhood:

This furnished apartment is located on a lively and historical street in the Marais area, close to Place des Vosges and its harmonious architecture, art galleries and where, at number 6, the famous French novelist Victor Hugo (Les Misérables) lived. The Place de la Bastille, symbol of the French Republic and an important point of interest in Paris, is just a 15-minute walk away. There are also museums, art galleries, designer shops, as well as diverse types of trendy bars and restaurants near this accommodation.

Premises:

This 35m² (approx. 375 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the third floor of a 17th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and it opens into a hall with a second glass door with an intercom. This opens into a corridor leading to the staircase.

The apartment entrance opens directly into the kitchen area, which gives access to the bathroom and the toilette. The main room is straight ahead from the entrance.

The hardwood floor, the high ceiling (3.44m - 11.30 ft) with its exposed beams and the decor give a certain charm to this modern apartment.

The 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) living room has two double-glazed windows overlooking a courtyard with an eastern exposure. It is furnished with a comfortable queen-size sofa bed, a coffee table, a console with a flat-screen cable TV and a DVD player. There is also a large dining table with matching chairs and a built-in desk surrounded by closets. This room has a high speed DSL Internet connection (with Ethernet and secured WIFI connection).

The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners, a small refrigerator, a washing machine, a coffee maker, a microwave and a toaster.

The modern-style bathroom is totally tiled. The shower includes a concrete style washbasin.HAIRDRYER

The Big Art Studio provided a perfect launching point for so many adventures whether on foot or via the Metro. The truly close-in location meant that one could pop in and out of the apartment to freshen up without losing time. Paolo was extremely gracious and kind - be sure to stop by his restaurant Comptoir Gourmet. All around, this was a great experience! We miss it already and hope to return soon.

We really enjoyed our stay in Paris. It was a cool apartment in a fun area. There was construction going on in the building that would start early in the morning, but we didn't have any other issues. We would stay there again!

We loved Polo's place. It is perfectly located, has tons of great restaurants, and was cozy and comfortable. As others have said, construction is ongoing, but it starts around 8am and ends before 5pm and no work is done on the weekends so it's the noise was no bother. We'd stay again!

Polo's place was in a great location - we were able to walk to Notre Dame and The Louvre, not to mention being surrounded by shops and cafes, as well as being minutes away from the train station. Very nice studio with lots of character and artworks. Comfy bed and big windows that open, as well as heating. Really no negatives to say about our stay other than the construction starting early mornings that is more so just a drive to get up and start exploring bright and early. Polo and Xavier went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They were kind enough to allow us to meet them at their cafe to print out our tickets and documents necessary to visit sights. We felt very comfortable with the hosts and did not hesitate to contact them when we needed to. A great place to stay in Paris!! Highly recommend.
