'Naoto' truly lived up to expectations. The hosts were friendly and generous , the accommodation comfortable , stylish and clean and the setting was tranquil .
Spent a lovely weekend at Ndoto with my husband and pug puppy. The cottage is well appointed and very warm. The kitchen is great and I recommend heading to the Bangalow Farmers Markets in the pub carpark (25 minute drive) every Saturday morning to pick up local produce to cook. Kim very kindly lent us a pot to cook up some lamb shanks but the kitchen has most utensils you will need for a short stay.
There is a small doggy door as well as a baby gate over the stairs so you can keep your pooch outside sometimes and know they won't be able to get up to mischief.
The hobby farm has some funny alpacas and a lot of unused (but steep) land that you can go rambling around in with your dog off leash. Our puppy ran around like a crazy thing sniffing everything.
Kim can book you a massage with a local lady who was super cheap ($50) and was excellent.
We had a lovely time staying at Ndoto! The cottage was beautiful with everything you could need. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Kim during our stay, but communication was great, and Joe and Lisa who welcomed us were very friendly.
Had a great time exploring the countryside in the Byron hinterlands, so beautiful, and would love to come back and stay at Ndoto again one day.
Thanks for a great trip!
Had a nice weekend stay at Ndoto. Highly recommend a weekend here to relax and recharge. Don't forget to look up at the sky at night the stars were magnificent!!
We stayed in the cottage with two young children and the space worked really well - there is a single sofa bed and a small fold out bed. The cottage is very pleasant with a good bath, kitchen and laundry facilities. It's very relaxing to be away from it all in the hills. I didn't meet our hosts because they were on holidays but we appreciated the bounty of foods left for the beginning of our stay. We would stay there again if in the area.
We had a great stay at Ndoto. Kim and Chris were very welcoming to us and our Labrador who was able to come and go around the cottage as she pleased. We were met with fresh bread and coffee on the table and even some treats for the dog. Kim also offered to book in a massage with a local practitioner which happened to be only a few minutes down the road. Topped with a nice scenic drive to Byron Bay and in close proximity to Nightcap National Park & Crystal Castle, there's plenty on offer at Ndoto for a peaceful weekend away. Thanks Kim & Chris!
We LOVED this beautiful cottage in the Byron Hinterland. Kim could not have been more welcoming or lovely. You won't regret picking this gorgeous hideaway!
