Irene was the best host of all the airbnbs that we stayed in on our honeymoon. The neighborhood of Trastevere comes alive at night with all of the restaurants, vendors, and bars. Very central location to access all of Rome's best sites. Irene made arrangements for us to be picked up at the train station and dropped off at the airport. Was totally worth it. She also suggested several local restaurants in the area. The apartment is exactly as pictured. Very warm and inviting, updated (ikea furniture), and comfortable bed. She even provided us with a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. We truly enjoyed our stay at her apartment.
My wife and I stayed at Irene's apartment for 4 nights in June and had a wonderful time!
The apartment is located in Trastevere, a young and lively part of Rome. We enjoyed being outside of the city center and either walking or riding a bus to the sights. The reward is experiencing GREAT food just a few minutes walk in either direction. We enjoy attempting to experience life as a "native" when we travel, so in our opinion, it was a great location.
The apartment itself provided everything we needed. We especially appreciated the washing machine, wifi and AC. We did 15 days in Italy using just one carry-on, so laundry was a must-have.
Lastly, I think it's important to realize that you also get a great hostess when you stay here! Irene arranged for a driver to pick is up at the airport, made dinner reservations for us our first two nights, included multiple other dining suggestions, arranged for a ride to Tiburtina for our bus to Siena, even had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived! In addition, Irene was attentive to our needs and was easy to contact using her wifi and Air BnB's app.
Truly, we had a great time experiencing Rome and we owe a lot of that to Irene. Ciao!
We enjoyed the fairly easy walking access that we had to most of Rome from here as well as the many local eating options that were near by. After a long day exploring we took advantage of ordering delicious take out from around the corner and enjoying the quiet private dining of the apartment. We had everything that we needed and Irene was easily available for check in and was within easy reach if we had needed anything.
Appartamento molto carino e pulito! Posizione ottima, e centralissima per quanto riguarda Trastevere! Irene una fantastica proprietaria super-disponibile!! Insomma: APPROVATO :-)
Irene is a great hostess. The apartment is exactly as the pictures and the location is perfect, near of a lot of bars and restaurants. I really enjoyed my days in Rome.
Irene is the perfect friendly host. She anticipated and responded to our needs efficiently and effectively with no more contact than necessary, and a very big smile! The apartment is comfortable, quiet, with everything you need (breakfast included) and even an unexpected bottle of wine! The location is pretty and typical, so when you leave every morning you know that you're in the heart of Rome! The neighbourhood is full of atmosphere, restaurants and bustle, close to the Tiber with easy access to the rest of the city. We walked a lot, sometimes more than 8 hours a day, and saw much of the city on foot, from St. Peter's Square to the Villa Borghese and MAXXI (a breathtaking museum architecturally with provocative and interesting contemporary art). Irene's Trastevere apartment is an ideal base. By the way, Dar Poeta, a restaurant a couple of minutes away, is justifiably famous for its terrific pizza (probably the best we've ever had anywhere), and Irene did us a big f(l)avour by recommending it. We went twice!
We stayed at Irene's apartment with our eight month old little boy on a long weekend break. The apartment was in a fantastic location right in the heart of the lively Trastevere area of Rome, which had shops, restaurants and was within an easy walking distance of all of the sights.
The apartment was clean, beautifully presented and had all of the facilities we needed. It was very secure and safe for our little boy to crawl around. Irene went the extra mile and provided a travel cot, a lovely blanket and baby breakfast yogurts for him, which was really lovely of her.
Irene also booked us into restaurants each evening and arranged a taxi with a baby car seat to and from the airport for us. All in all both the apartment and the service that Irene provided were amazing and made our break a very relaxing one.
Irene was fantastic, she always replied to emails promptly. Her apartment is brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for her, she even left us a bottle of wine. It had everything we could possibly need. Irene booked restaurants for us and they were great. Trastevere is a great place to wander and it is so close to the main sights that we could walk to most places. We loved this place and it felt like we were part of the local scene for a few days. We hope to return one day . Thanks Irene
We had an amazing stay at this apartment! The neighborhood is charming and located in a great central area to all the major sites of Rome. Irene really went above and beyond when our luggage didn't arrive at the airport. She was extremely helpful with communicating with the airlines and coordinating a drop off time for our luggage. She also arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport, a taxi pick up when we checked out, and made several dinner reservations for us. The apartment is charming and comfortable. A little bit noisy at night due to the nearby bars but it is to be expected in the Trastervere so it didn't bother us. All in all we had a wonderful stay and Irene helped make our first trip to Rome an unforgettable one! We can't wait to return one day!
What a wonderful stay we had in Rome! The flat was lovely, with a perfect location! Irene was perfect as well! Kindly providing us with breakfast & a bottle of wine for our arrival! The flat is as charming as in the photos!
I highly recommend this flat - and when (not if!) we come back to Rome we would love to stay in Irenes flat again! :)
