Irene met us at the door at the agreed time. She showed us the apartment (referring, bathroom, washing machine etc.) All was in good working order. The bed was firm and comfortable. Good water pressure and hot water. The neighbor is adorable and lively. Dozens and dozens of good places to eat at all price ranges. There is a good local market for fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheese and fish and meat if you feel like cooking yourself (we didn't). The location is a relatively good jumping off point for exploratory walks with or without the public buses and trams. You do not need to speak Italian to get buy in this area, although I always encourage travelers to at least attempt to learn a few basic words and expressions .... it is just good courtesy when visiting a foreign location.
I would offer two cautions perhaps. The little courtyard outside the apartment door seems to be a gathering place for the "ragazzi" (young folks) to have a little party. It can be noisy on weekend nights when us older folks might want to sleep. Also, if you have knee/ankle etc. ambulatory issues, as I do, this area is predominantly paved with irregular cobblestones and can present some minor challenge/difficulty.
But a wonderful fun area to be in overall and the apartment was clean, functional, and totally adequate for our needs.
Grazie mille Irene !!!!!
Irene was a fantastic host! She had beautifully stocked her charming apartment with many thoughtful items, such as converters, a bottle of wine, tea, pastries, and more. She went beyond host duties and helped us make restaurant and bus reservations! She was right there to let us in the flat, and even let us leave our suitcases when we arrived early!!!the flat location is GREAT! We loved being in exciting travastere! She made our stay very enjoyable. We feel we have made a new friend. Thank you Irene!
The hostess Irene is bordering on perfect. Extremely communicative, very thoughtful and pro-active, very attentive with a nice bottle of wine and some bread, nice ideas for things to visit etcetera. Our return flight was cancelled and even then she went the extra mile to help us out. I think as a host you cannot do better.
The apartment is compact and completely in line with the description given. Very neat and clean and with a very comfortable atmosphere. The 2-person bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is really small, but it does the trick and is very clean.
The apartment is perfectly situated in Trastevere as a basis to either get to know Trastevere or walk into Rome's old centre.
This deal was nearly perfect. Only thing I would improve would be a bit more comfortable chairs around the table.
We have not long returned from our 4 night trip to Rome and already missing Irene's apartment in the heart of Trastevere.
The location was more than we could have asked for, we were surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars, and no more than a 30 minute walk from any of the key tourist attractions such as the Colloseum, The Vatican, The Piazza Navona and The Pantheon.
Irene was a wonderful host and her communication was excellent. Prior the trip she sent us information about where to eat, what to see and how to get there i.e. via, bus, train or tram. On the day of our arrival Irene met us at the apartment and showed us around. She supplied plenty of towels, beverages, croissants for breakfast and a bottle of wine - all complimentary.
The apartment was as described. Despite the bathroom being small, it was very clean and there was always hot water. The bedroom had a large double bed, which was incredibly comfortable. There was a large wardrobe with hangers and plenty of drawers.
The kitchen was very well equipped and again was very clean.
There was free WiFi which was capped (unfortunately can't remember the limit, but I traveled with my teenage daughter who is a social media victim and we didn't exceed our allocation).
The apartment is located within minutes of some incredible restaurants and bars, so with that in mind it does tend to be a little noisy throughout the night, however, this was not an issue for us, as it was more important to be in a good area.
We would not hesitate to recommend Irene's apartment to anyone wishing to find a safe, comfortable and clean accommodation for a very reasonable price in what must be the best location in the city - Trastevere!
Thank you Irene
The listing description was accurate. The neighborhood was charming - cute cafes, cobblestone streets, small boutiques. Our host was very welcoming and provided lovely continental breakfast. Her emails on how to navigate public transportation and suggestions on Rome's sights helped us with scheduling our days.
Irene's apartment is lovely. It is cozy, clean and centrally located. There are a lot of shops and restaurants very close (the local market was great). All the major attractions are within walking distance. Irene is a perfect host, very helpful and made us feel great during our stay. We definitely recommend this place to anybody.

I'm Irene 46 years old, me and my extended family we have decided to start a new venture by opening a vacation home in Rome ... and here we are! I started with the first apartment together with my in-laws Ivan and Claudia, and after about eight months I have continued this activity alone in Trastevere, the heart of Rome. I'll be happy to accommodate anyone who wants to come and visit me.
