The place is in a perfect location in Travestere. You are within minutes of everything and anything that you would want to eat or do. The apartment is noisy at night with people on the street BUT location, location, location. Irene had arranged a driver to pick us up at the aiport. After a long flight it was great to be taken directly to her place with her waiting at the apartment for us. Irene also arranged a taxi for when we left. Irene was very quick to respond to any questions I had about the place or even Rome. Would definately recommend this place.

Irene's place is absolutely lovely during our 5 night stay! The location was exactly what we were looking for: a lively and easily accessible spot to rest between our days in Rome. The apartment felt safe, clean, and easy to navigate. While we didn't have an opportunity to use some of the amenities she offered, the kitchen was a good size, and had ample supplies. Washing machine was a big help during the hot and humid days in Rome. Wi-Fi & A/C worked extremely well and had no issues. Irene was very gracious in setting up a hired car, and holding our bags when we arrived early. Irene made herself available throughout our stay, and she even went above and beyond helping us out during check out when a huge downpour cut short our last day of exploring. The restaurant recommendations were top notch, and we enjoyed each one of them. We hope her listing is still available the next time we visit Rome.

Irene's place was so perfect. My husband and I stayed on our trip to Italy and thoroughly enjoyed how the place felt like our home away from home. While I suggest taking a cab or transport from the airport or train station, it is walkable if you take the bus to the nearest stop. Irene was such a fabulous host. She was always willing to go out of her way to make dinner reservations or just check in on us, and even made our welcome so amazing with a bottle of wine, and espresso and croissants for breakfast. We stayed in Rome on our circle back through Italy and so wished that Irene's place was available for our second stay! Highly suggest this location!

Charming and very comfortable apartment in the middle of Trastevere with everything you need, kitchen etc.. Its in the ground floor and so in the evening it can be a little bit noisy (even if the lovely little square in front of the door is rather calm there are people walking around between the many restaurants in the area). The location couldn't be better to enjoy the city by foot. And the fact that it is in the ground floor is not only practical but also makes it a bit cooler in summer. Irene is a very attentive host, with a lot of good ideas what to do in town (from restaurants to heritage) and also in the region. We had a great time in Rome in her place and can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Irene was an excellent host. She communicated well to organize our arrival, provide directions, and make recommendations for our stay. She even made us a dinner reservation. The apartment was clean and charming. It had everything we could have needed and more - including a bottle of wine and chocolates on the pillow. It was especially helpful to have a washing machine (directions included!) and drying rack, since we had been traveling for quite some time. The neighborhood was safe and residential, but still offered plenty of lively restaurants/bars. Highly recommended!!

Irene is an amazing host. She provided us with tons of information. Offered to help with transportation and reservations. She is very responsive and goes out of her way to ensure your stay is fabulous. The apartment was very well cared for and clean, stocked with coffee tea, etc. The washing machine was handy as we were on the tail end of a longer trip. Trastevere is a fabulous place to call home in Rome. Lots of great eateries, shops and close to the river, many main points of interest and public transportation. The boardwalk long the river is lovely - lots of restaurants and shops - and makes a great walk to Vatican City or the Colosseum. Trastevere is a lively place and lends itself to people who enjoy the nightlife, especially on the weekends as people are out and about well into the morning. Outside activity is audible within the apartment when it is busy.

Irene User ProfileIrene is a superhost.

I'm Irene, 48 years old, me and my extended family we have decided to start a new venture by opening a vacation home in Rome ... and here we are! I started with the first apartment together with my in-laws Ivan and Claudia, and after about eight months I have continued this activity alone in Trastevere, the heart of Rome. I'll be happy to accommodate anyone who wants to come and visit me.
