About This Listing
Great location in the heart of Little Italy. Fantastic Italian restaurants and pastry shops right outside your door. Walking distance to Beacon Hill, downtown Boston, Faneuil Hall and other revolutionary war sites. The Freedom Trail, the North Church and Paul Revere's house are just around the corner. Less than 1 block to the Green and Orange subway line (T) stops at Haymarket (2 minutes). If you are going or coming from Logan airport you can get off at the Aquarium T stop and walk to my apartment (7 minutes).
The apartment is spacious, it has a large living room and kitchen, good sized bedroom and 1 bathroom. There is a microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle and full size fridge in the kitchen. I provide fresh linens and towels as well as closet space and drawers. Bedroom has flatscreen tv with HD cable channels, DVR/DVD player and window air conditioning unit in the summer. The apartment has very fast wireless internet access.
I've written up a list of secret spots in the neighborhood called "A Perfect Day in the North End." Want to know where to get the perfect cappuccino at 7am? How about a fresh piping hot sfogliatelle (Italian breakfast pastry)? You will feel like you've lived here for years when you find these spots. I can also recommend bike paths, breweries (Been to the Sam Adams plant?), bars etc based on your desired itinerary.
I would like your stay to be as comfortable as possible. In the past, I've gotten things like slippers, a hairdryer (now in the apartment) or a coffee grinder (also now there). One guest requested a specific roast of coffee (French). and I was happy to oblige. My only rule is that you don't smoke in the apartment. Also no pets. I have had great experience meeting new people on Airbnb and I look forward to meeting new guests. Pay it forward!
Owen was there to meet and greet us. He was very helpful and provided lists of valuable information about the local area. The apartment was very much his own and quite spacious. The locality was very convenient for the Subway and was within a few minutes walk of the city centre. The North End provided ample opportunity to dine out with a wide variety of menus.
With a few domestic changes we could live here.
A perfect stay. Owen was there to meet me and stored my bags for me until I could check in.
Great place in a perfect area of town. Easy access to subway and a ton of nice restaurants within 5 min walk.
Owen is a great host: friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed here during Marathon weekend and it was perfect. (He even made sure to have pre-race coffee in the cupboard and post-race ice cream in the freezer! How can you beat that?) The North End is a great neighbourhood, all narrow streets crammed full of restaurants, and if you want to go further afield, Haymarket station is practically across the street – it was a great home base for us to travel all over town. The apartment is super-charming (Pez collection! C-3PO army!) and the kitchen's fully-stocked with tools for cooking (a life-saver for travellers with restricted diets). We were sad to leave; we can't wait to go back!
This one bedroom apartment was well-located, in the Little Italy area of Boston. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen well-stocked. We stayed for a week, and by the last couple of days, felt as if we really lived in Boston--a great feature of renting an airbnb rather than hotel rooms. Owen left good information about the restaurants and stores in the area. The subway train was an easy walk from the apartment.
The only kind of quirky thing, is that some of the Ikea type furnishings seem in peril of falling over, i.e. the coffee table, and the display bookcase. Other than that, it was a great place to come back to after a day of sight-seeing. Owen was easy to communicate with, both before and during our stay.
