About this listing
Great location in the heart of Little Italy. Fantastic Italian restaurants and pastry shops right outside your door. Walking distance to Beacon Hill, downtown Boston, Faneuil Hall and other revolutionary war sites. The Freedom Trail, the North Church and Paul Revere's house are just around the corner. Less than 1 block to the Green and Orange subway line (T) stops at Haymarket (2 minutes). If you are going or coming from Logan airport you can get off at the Aquarium T stop and walk to my apartment (7 minutes).
The apartment is spacious, it has a large living room and kitchen, good sized bedroom and 1 bathroom. There is a microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle and full size fridge in the kitchen. I provide fresh linens and towels as well as closet space and drawers. Bedroom has flatscreen tv with HD cable channels, DVR/DVD player and window air conditioning unit in the summer. The apartment has very fast wireless internet access.
I've written up a list of secret spots in the neighborhood called "A Perfect Day in the North End." Want to know where to get the perfect cappuccino at 7am? How about a fresh piping hot sfogliatelle (Italian breakfast pastry)? You will feel like you've lived here for years when you find these spots. I can also recommend bike paths, breweries (Been to the Sam Adams plant?), bars etc based on your desired itinerary.
I would like your stay to be as comfortable as possible. In the past, I've gotten things like slippers, a hairdryer (now in the apartment) or a coffee grinder (also now there). One guest requested a specific roast of coffee (French). and I was happy to oblige. My only rule is that you don't smoke in the apartment. Also no pets. I have had great experience meeting new people on Airbnb and I look forward to meeting new guests. Pay it forward!
Had a great time at apartment, it's in a good part of town.
Apartment has everything you can want, including helpful tips on where to eat.
Would stay here again.
The apartment worked very well for our Boston trip. Short steps to the subway station, many restaurants near by, and right along the North End portion of the freedom trail. The neighborhood was relatively quiet at night (lively on the weekend, but earplugs handled). Owen was a great host, and the apartment had all we needed.
My teen son slept on the sofa and he proclaimed it very comfortable. Super-comfy bed, fresh sheets and nice pillows.
Perfect location. Easy access to the major attractions and the best restaurants. Owen is so nice to wait for our early arrival and show his warm welcome.
Owen's apartment was very good, located in a historic neighbourhood. When we got there, we received suggestions to restaurants, bars, even where the nearest CVS was located, he left a pack of coffee, the apartment was clean, it had clean towels and even shampoo and soap. We felt in Owen's apartment almost like we were at home.
Very reliable, friendly and easy communication, everything allright, thanks again!
The Location of this Apartment is just PERFECT for discovering Boston!
We had a great stay. The apartment is perfectly located in the north end, I was concerned about road noise when I looked at the map, but it is very quiet, and I'm a insomniac in treatment. With the green line of the MBTA subway across the boulevard it is soooo convenient!
Location, location, location. You can not beat it. Owen's place is centrally located a quick walk to downtown and great places to eat. A nice change from staying in a hotel for my business travel to Boston. Spent 10 days there. Ground floor is a little tough as you don't really want the window blinds open too much and the unit is not quite a cute as the pictures on the listing. But...I have no issues with recommending this unit. Communication could not have been any better, Owen even checked back in a day or so after my arrival to make sure that I had everything I needed. After a couple of days you settle in and it feel like home.
