The property is surrounded by nature on three sides. With the river at your doorstep and surrounded by preserve and conservation land, there is fishing, bird watching, and canoeing. Sightings of Bald Eagles, waterfowl during the day and bats in the evening are not unusual and hearing the coyotes in the evening while enjoying the firepit is quite an experience. This home was originally a functioning farm as recently as the 1990’s and has a rich history. Just 3 blocks to the south is the northern edge of Rockton’s’ Nationally Registered Historic District. A walk through the Historic District shows many fine examples of Limestone homes and turn of the century dwellings that are contributing buildings to the Historic District.

It is less than a mile to the eclectic downtown that features antique and specialty shops, a candy store, a coffee shop for the early risers, along with first class restaurants and taverns. Enjoy a splurge of handmade chocolates at Sugar Britches. Be dazzled by the array of color and the work of multiple local artists at Jill Rae Finally Art. Once you are worn out from shopping, stop into Rookies for a craft beer or FIBS for the Prime Rib special.
