The Space

1 private bedroom available in 2 bedroom unit which is right in the heart of beautiful Makawao town, in upcountry Maui, Hawaii :)
Great location for walking to shops and restaurants.
You may be sharing the unit with another Airbnb guest.
The kitchen and bathroom are shared~
You will have a private bedroom with a door you can shut and lock~
This room has a brand new queen sized bed.

I grew up on Maui and can offer many good recommendations and suggestions! You can always text or call me with questions.

Also, I have a local, used car (2004 Toyota Corolla) available for my guests to rent.
It's an older car and a bit scuffed up on the outside which makes you look more like a local, lol!
The inside is in really good condition and really comfortable. It is great shape mechanically and drives really well. Let me know if you are interested.
Automobile notes: Comfortable ride, Automatic transmission, Great seats, A/C, Cd player and FM/AM radio, 4 door, lots of room, Mechanically sound
Plus taxes and transport fees.
We pay 4% general excise tax and 13% car rental tax to the state of Hawaii.
Airport transfer is $20/ each way. It's about 1/3 the price of the airport shuttle.
Depending on your arrival time, I could leave it at the airport to be awaiting your arrival or come pick you up.

There's high speed WIFI at the house and
1 off-street parking spot.

We have a full solar electric system and solar hot water system so we are completely powered by the sun~!~
Permaculture designed organic garden you are welcome to graze with lots of herbs~!~
Like I stated before the house is a very short walk to everything in Makawao town. Restaurants include: Polli's Mexican restaurant, Casanova's Italian restaurant and discotheque, Makawao Sushi, Makawao Steak House, Fresh Market Bistro. Also nearby are a Public library, Post Office, and a Public Park with basketball court, walking/running track and soccer field.
A public bus stop is steps away from the house and the bus will take you downtown to Kahului for shopping and further to Kihei or Lahaina beaches~
15 minutes drive down the hill to Paia beaches, more great restaurants down there and famous Mana Foods natural foods grocery.
Great location! 15-20 minute drive to wonderful hiking: forest hiking in one direction, jungle hiking in the other direction!
Also, quite close to Haleakala National Park which accesses Haleakala Crater and one of the closest towns to the beginning of the famed Hana Highway drive to beautiful Hana town!
Disclaimer: I keep my prices low because is it a urban, upcountry area and there can be a lot of activity going on around the outside of the house as well as wild chickens cruising around! However, inside the house itself is pretty quiet and all my guests have had a wonderful time here and have had great sleep here as you can see in the reviews :):):)
I would also like to note that there is no microwave in the kitchen or cable TV.
However there is a TV/DVD player for watching DVDs and a toaster oven for reheating leftovers.

  • Angelika's apartment has a relaxing vibe and is well organized. Everything about it makes you feel welcome, cozy, and just good.
The location is excellent, being right downtown Makawao. We had a chance to meet her only briefly and she seemed sweet, caring, and very easy going.
Whether you want to do yoga in her perfectly set living room space, have a pre-dinner/post hike drink in her cute site garden, or just chill after a day at the beach, Angelika's house will make you feel like home!
