Gite de Lac Tranquille is located beneath the owners house. It has its own private, separate entrance with farmhouse barn door.
It is rustic, oak beams throughout and everywhere freshly painted white.
The gardens are stunning, guests have full use of all outside sitting areas.
Towels and bedding are provided (not pool towels) and upon request can be changed mid week if required.
The gite has one bedroom.
Our old English sheepdogs, Mollie and Lolli live here too.

The space
Subject to our fishing lake not being rented out to fishermen, guests may walk around the lake, which is located through our forest, so totally away and separate from main house and gite.
There are areas of outstanding beauty to visit close by and lovely old towns on the river vienne. One night stays not preferred, 2 or more acceptable. NO ONE NIGHT STAYS IN JULY AND AUGUST

We are situated 4 kilometres from St Junien , the natural Site Corot , is 2 kilometeres away. Rochechouart with its chateau is 20 minutes away by car.
Our neighbourhood is a tiny hamlet and is named after the 'jay birds. (Geai). The birdsong when you wake is so stunning. Brigueille, a fortified village is 10 minutes away by car and has a bakery and Pharmacy. NO ONE NIGHT STAYS IN JULY AND AUGUST

Angie and Ian live on site and can be on hand for any assistance if required. Mollie and Lolli, our friendly old sheepdogs live with us and are very gentle. We prefer 2 or more right stay, one night in exceptional circumstances. No one night stays July or August. 2 or more.
