This is a spacious light-filled 3 bedroom 2 bathroom 1000 sq feet apartment in Weehawken, NJ. It is 10 min bus ride to Midtown near Times Square via the Lincoln Tunnel. As surprising as it may seem, this place is closer to Manhattan than other places located in Upper Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx. We MUST know in advance if you will be driving as there no off-street parking and on-street is subject to severe space limitations.

Our apartment is 2 blocks away from the first bus stop after boarding from Port Authority Bus terminal in Manhattan. (Read further down for more details about transportation)

The Rooms
The Master bedroom is very spacious, bright and quiet. The room has a queen size bed, feather pillows and a cozy feather duvet. There's also a large closet and your own private bathroom. Plenty of space for a third person if they don't mind sleeping on the sofa (in this room) or on a roll away cot.

The second and third bedroom share the second full bath. One bedroom has a king size bed, the other has a queen bed. Both bedrooms are spacious with large closets.

You don't have to bring bed linens, towels or a hair dryer, we will provide you with fluffy clean towels and all you need to feel comfortable and at home!

The house is equipped with central heat and air conditioning. High speed wireless internet, and other convenient things like iron, city guides, maps, etc. are provided.

Feel free to message me if you need any further details.

* Minimum stay 3 nights

ABOUT PAYMENT:
Many ask about the price and extra fees and how to pay. When you put in the dates and number of people you will get our total cost. There are no taxes on top of this, but AirBnB adds their fee. It varies between 6-12% on top of our price.

All the payments are safely made with credit card to AirBnB when booking. They hold the money until the day you check in and will then transfer it to us.

Bookings with us are done with the "strict" cancellation policy and all cancellations should be done through AirBnB. This being said, if we manage to re-rent the place the nights you have canceled we can give a bigger refund to you than what the strict cancellation policy dictates. The earlier you cancel the bigger the chance that we will find other guests.

Please note that 11am check out strictly enforced as we will need time to properly prepare for our next guests. If you fly out late you can check with the deli next door about bag storage.

Guest Access

* Your own keys
* Kitchen access (please be careful washing and re-shelving anything you used)
* living room, dining table
* reading material, maps, umbrellas

Interaction with Guests

We can keep in contact via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or other applications (Email or phone), so we can be in contact at all times. I am only a few blocks away and can be there in 10 minutes if need be.

The Neighborhood

Important things to note about the area:
* We are not in Manhattan, but we are very close.
* The buses that run every 5 minutes, 24/7 take cash only, no tickets, no passes. The Manhattan "metrocard" does not work on this bus, it's a different system altogether. This is important to know when you are planning your budget. The bus is $3 per trip.

This area is super diverse quiet neighborhood with a Walking Score of 91. You won't be bothered or have to worry about walking by yourself from bus. It's very family oriented and the people are super friendly. Make sure you take a walk 10 min north to Hamilton Park to see the incredible skyline view.

Getting Around

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
About Transportation: I have received many questions from people who don't believe it possible to be outside of Manhattan and so close to it, yet it's true. Here are some facts about transportation:
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

1. Apartment is 3 minutes (2 blocks) from the bus stop.
2. The bus is very frequent, I rarely wait for it more than 2 to 3 minutes. Most of the time you won't even wait at all. You will step to the bus stop and a bus will be there.
3. Buses are available 24/7 so you can catch them even when you spend the whole evening out.
4. The price of these express buses is $3 per trip.
5. You won't find these buses timetable or route on the internet, it's a private bus company that runs many lines in and out of Manhattan

If you want to take the pokey ol' slow bus, look up NJ Transit 159 or 123 or 125, etc. Tons of buses go by here. You can pre-buy books of ten for a reduction in fare.

Other Things to Note

Once the booking is complete I will email you additional details including options for travel from airport, bus stations, etc. When you arrive at the apartment you'll find an info binder with specific info on how to take the bus, where to go grocery shopping, cool places I love in the city, nice walks to see the view etc. It is important to me that you have a great vacation and a relaxing time, so don't worry too much about the small details as we will make sure you are comfortable with how things work so that you can have a stress free holiday.

This building, and many of the buildings on the street have exterior surveillance cameras.

You will have your own set of keys so that you can come and go as needed.

To confirm that you have read the entire description, please include the secret word "cosmopolitan" in your inquiry to me.

No smoking at all, very strict.
No pets, please don't ask for exceptions. I'll make a fur coat of of them.

House check-out is 11am latest. We can help you coordinate luggage storage in the city if your flight is later in the day. We don't have any space where luggage storage is possible.

** Check out procedure must be followed prior to 11am checkout:
1) Take out all trash and recycling to designated area. Failure to remove trash and recycling will result in a $30 fine being deducted from damage deposit
2) All used towels in bathtub
3) All beds left as is, no need to strip the bed linens
4) keys left inside apartment on dining table
5) All furniture, decorations, etc. moved back to original position

If your flight is super early in the morning, please be considerate of other tenants by being very quiet when coming down stairs with luggage. As you can imagine, luggage banging on the stairs will not be a welcome noise at 4am.
