This eclectic comfy studio apartment is close-in and close to a busline. It's in convenient walking distance to the Hike and Bike Trail and Deep Eddy.
Located ON Lake Austin Blvd (west 6th) means you are 2 miles from downtown (less than a $10 cab ride) and you're in a one block walking distance to everything you need: Maudie's Tex Mex (great margaritas!), Randall's Supermarket, Starbucks, CVS, Twin Liquors and a slightly longer walk to Magnolia Cafe (24 Hour Diner), Thundercloud Subs, and Mangia's (best gluten-free pizza in town!), all about a half mile away. Deep Eddy, one of Austin's best natural water swimming holes is also a half mile away. Austin's Hike and Bike Trail is across the street.
The studio is outfitted with a full kitchen (including mini fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, and electric tea kettle), full bathroom, queen sized bed, a desk for work, and comfy large sofas in the living room. The apartment sleeps two comfortably and there's room for a futon if you need to lodge three!
Redbox is conveniently located one block away.

This was my first time using Airbnb and it was an amazing first experience. Flip was a wonderful host and was very helpful in answering all my questions. The apt was fabulous! The pictures online were great, but in person the apt was beautiful! The apt is very close to downtown and very easy to find. It was spacious, clean, and very comfy. I highly recommend staying here if your planning to visit Austin!
Flip is amazing, she made our first time in Austin as convenient as possible. The place was fantastic and perfect for what we were looking for. The location is right next to a super yummy Tex-Mex restaurant (Shout out to Maudie's!) and is within a block from a supermarket, CVS and a bus station that is a 10 minute ride to the downtown area. Next time we're in Austin, this is absolutely where we would like to stay.
Great spot not too far from downtown Austin. Even though the entrance feels a bit weird the first time (given that it's in an alley) the flat is in the Tarrytown area and feels quite safe. There is a great mexican restaurant right next to it (Maudie's) and a grocery store all within super easy walking distance.
Flip was a great host, easy to communicate with, responsive to texts/calls. The flat itself is nice and spacious, perfect for 2 people (and even 1-2 more if there were people who wants to sleep on the couch/floor).
Flip was great! Super helpful, really response over text which I LOVE. Very flexible which is great when you're doing a road trip, sometimes unexpected delays or scheduling is difficult with a stiff checkin/checkout. Even thanked us for keeping things neat. :)
The apartment itself - Bed is super comfy and the apartment is just right for two people. We were in Austin for ACL and it was the perfect place to crash. Mexican restaurant right in front of the place, Randalls supermarket also walking distance. We even walked to the festival from the flat. Its about 20 minutes but so much better than dealing with the traffic. And if you stay here, go to the magnolia cafe down the street. amazeballs. The place is tastefully decorated and feels warm. Was weirded out a bit when we pulled through an alley way to enter the house, but the neighborhood felt super safe and we (two girls) felt very comfortable.
The flat was great! Exactly as advertised: cute, comfy, clean, private, well appointed and a great location. It was an easy 20 minute walk from stepping out the door of the flat to walking in the gate at ACL. Flip was a fantastic hostess: friendly, inviting, and responsive. It was a completely positive experience and I will happily stay here again when I come back.
Great place-- the rooftop is a nice touch and it's a very comfortable spot and a good location. Check-in was easy and Flip was easy to communicate with.
For my first trip to Austin I would highly recommend this place because not only is it a super cool set up, it's very close to downtown and within walking distance to so many things. I was there for the Formula 1 weekend. So it was nice to stay in a really clean, quite place while in town. It's decorated in a very cool way but more importantly it was really comfortable. Flip was very friendly, accessible. Anytime we communicated she was very quick to respond and helpful. I don't know what else to say...I'm coming back for sure. I would stay here if I were you

I LOVE AIRBNB! I've been a host and traveler on airbnb for 5 years now and have loved every single person I have met on the way! I started out renting out my own funky places and now I help others rent out their spots too! I only take on properties that i love and feel good about, mostly downtown and SoCo. From Shoestring to Luxury, I'll find you sweet digs!
