It is not possible to throw toilet paper in the toilet, because there is a shredder.
Replacing it costs beyond 1000€
A hair dryer is available as well as all what you might expect in a nice furnished apartment!
Yves (email hidden). He met us outside of his lovely apartment right on time and was very helpful with regard to showing us around his apartment and providing information about the neighborhood. The apartment looks exactly like what's shown in the pictures, however it was smaller than I expected. I think this flat would be perfect for two to three people, but for us, with three adults and two teenagers, it was pretty cramped, especially when the fold-a-bed was pulled out. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there were clean linens provided. And the neighborhood----it's absolutely beautiful. Located in the 16th arrondisement, it is close to the Eiffel tower and many wonderful shops and restaurants. We all felt very safe walking around at night and did not have any trouble finding our way around.
The biggest problem for us was the fact that you can not flush any type of toilet paper down the toilet. All used toilet paper must be placed in a little trash can next to the toilet and carried downstairs to the garbage can. While this is now listed in the information about the apartment, it was not listed when I booked this flat several months ago. I likely would not have booked it had I known this detail. The good news is when I voiced my concerns to Yves, he was able to move us to a different apartment for three of the six days of our rental. He really did all that he could to make things comfortable for us.
Things 'pampered' Americans need to know (and I admit my family and I are pampered): The only bathroom is located within the master bedroom...there is a washing machine but not a dryer.....and there is no air conditioning or fan (this was fine most of the time)....
As a host, Yves was great. We would rent from him again if the opportunity presented itself.
My family of 4 spent 5 nights at Cesar's apartment. It is in a great area and a very cool, old building. Cesar is a very nice host, helpful. One big glitch was the inability to flush toilet paper into the toilet. This we only learned a day before our visit as it was not in the description of the apartment initially as Cesar said it was. I am very sure it was not. This would have been a deal breaker. It was too late to get out of the reservation without losing our money so we stayed. The apartment is roomy enough for 4 but is cluttered. I like to go away to get away from clutter so this was not great for me. A family of 4 uses the bathroom a lot so we payed many trips to the garbage down stairs. Location is lovely. Good neighborhood. We had to wash some glasses that were not clean.
The apartment was as promised with lots of charm in a very good area with only a short walk to anything you might need. The metro was close so travel around Paris was easy. Security was very good, with a lift and contained all needed appliances. My only concern was that when we were met by the host's daughter she explained that toilet paper could not be flushed down the toilet. My wife was displeased with this as was I. Other than that one issue we had a very enjoyable stay.
I recommend without any doubt this charming apartment located in one of the best areas of Paris, you can go walking to everywhere. The neighborhood is quiet and there are a lot of shops, boulangeries (one of the best baguettes and croissants I have ever eaten). Ives (email hidden), a perfect French Gentleman. Me and my family had a wonderful stay here. Merci beaucoup.
Good, central location. Close to underground metro, Eiffel Tower and other main attractions. We could walk to most destinations. Passy mall close by also.
This was a very nice apartment within walking distance to the OECD, where I came for a week to work. The apartment is stocked with everything I needed in the kitchen to make breakfast and is close to many nice little shops and restaurants. Cesar (email hidden) and was very responsive.
Great location with some vibrant little areas close by but also walking distaace to major sites. Charming apartment with a real authentic Parisian feel, nicely presented; clean and tidy. Great host; courteous, responsive and very professional. Highly recommended!
The apartment of Yves is as charming as Paris itself, could not ask for better.
I love the neighborhood, Metro is 3 minutes walk, coffee shop around the corner, Bakery, Pharmacy, convenience store, and everything is so neat.
I felt like a Parisian for a week!!
Highly recommended .
Séjour fort sympatique dans un appartement très proche du tracadéro. Je recommande. Très bon contact avec Yves.
The apartment is in a very nice area with plenty of shops, caffe and restaurants in one of the beatifull and elegant areas of Paris. Cesar was very nice and helpfull. We will certainly come back!
