About This Listing
I am renting out my room for 2 months over the summer. It would suit someone who has to come to town for the Olympics or just wants to spend the summer in London.
Stoke Newington is a ridiculously brilliant place, its got everything you need. The flat is just off Church Street, which has tons of delicious cafes, restaurants, shops, great pubs and music venues. There is a farmers market on the weekend and Clissold Park is just a couple of minutes walk away. The park has tennis courts, a tiny zoo, paddling pool, cafe and is a lovely place to be in the summer. Clissold Leisure center has a pool and gym and is also nearby. Although its not on the tube line, there are loads of buses and its just a short walk to an overground or the East London line. You can easily walk to Dalston, Canonbury, Highbury and Finsbury Park. Its really simple to get to Angel, Liverpool Street and into the west end.
The flat is on the first floor, it has a balcony over looking a courtyard and school playground. The block is nice and quiet and has a really lovely community feel to it. The balcony is big enough to sit out on and gets the sun all day, plant watering duties are obligatory!
There is a large shared living room, small but clean bathroom and kitchen.
Your bedroom is big, with a REALLY comfortable double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, desk, chair etc. Bedding, towels etc are provided. The room looks out onto a quiet tree lined street and you are guaranteed a great nights sleep.
It is fully furnished and there are the usual mod cons, TV, washing machine, iron, wifi, phone etc etc
You will be sharing with the ever brilliant Jess, who is a TV producer. Shes into film and music, loves going out and staying home in equal measures. We like to keep the flat clean, tidy and calm. If you are new to London, Jess will show you the ropes and give you all the info you need.
No smoking inside.
Please keep it clean and tidy and keep noise at a limit out of respect to the neighbours.
We'll have a simple sublet contract in place for your rental.

About the Host, Tess
How are you doing?
So, a little about me... I am heading to the States for a couple of months this summer and hence renting out my room in my apartment. I work for an electronic record label and manage a band, so tend to travel a fair bit with work. This time, its New York for a while and then I'm looking forward to making the most of being in the US and going on a road trip and visiting mates over there.
More importantly, you will be sharing with the ever brilliant Jess, who is a TV producer. Shes into film and music, loves going out and staying home in equal measures. If you are new to London, Jess will show you the ropes and give you all the info you need about the flat and the area. Jess is fun and chilled and is a great person to share the place with. We have quite a lot of friends who live in the area so we tend to hang out locally. Oh and Jess speaks fluent French as well!
