Claudia is a very nice host. The key exchange was simple and food and wine very welcoming in that super central, super nice apartment.
I recommand staying there!
Booking the apartment was very easy with Claudia. Claudia was not in Milan the night we arrived, so her friend met us at the apartment with the keys. Claudia kindly left some instructions on nearby restaurants, buses etc. The location is very good, about a 15 minute walk to the main square where the Duomo is. We are also about a 5/10 minute walk from the canals. Claudia also let us leave our bags in her apartment until 6pm on the day we were leaving. A very nice place to stay!
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Claudia's place! The flat was welcoming and spotless and quiet, within walking distance of most places we wanted to visit and close to the metro station. A number of the food/drinks places recommended in our guide turned out to be literally around the corner. Claudia herself was extremely accomodating about our arrival and departure times. We would definitely recommend it, just keep in mind that it is best for those planning to share the master bedroom, as the bed is more comfortable than the (slightly creaky) sofabed.
We stayed in Claudia's apartment for the weekend, and it was a cozy place to come home to at the end of each day. We especially enjoyed having access to a kitchen & appliances for breakfast in the morning. The apartment is warm in the winter and stocked with everything you will need during your stay. Some travelers may want to know that it IS a place that allows smoking (which I overlooked before booking), so there is a definite smell of smoke in the apartment. Other than that, I highly recommend this apartment. Claudia is a wonderful, kind, and accommodating host.
