I've had an amazing stay at Glenys'. She is a wonderful, communicating, caring and inspiring person with a huge heart. She made it feel like staying at home, but with the luxury to taking care of absolutely everything ( what I obviously have to do by myself if I'm at my home ;) ). Besides that, I have slept in a bed like a fluffy cozy cloud, got delicious meals, some cuddle-time with her lovely pets and free english lessons, because she has spent much time with me and showed my around.
So Glenys...Thank you very, very much for everything during my stay in Carmarthen.
I can definitely recommend to book her room and stay at her home. You will get everthing she described at her profile and you'll feel privileged if she has vacancies and is willing to host you.
Wonderful stay with a wonderful and generous host. I felt very welcomed from the moment I arrived (Glenys was kind enough to pick me up from the train station in the rain) and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Glenys and her lovely dog (and cat). Clean, comfortable room and bed, quiet at night to sleep, easy 10 minute walk (downhill!) to Carmarthen bus and train station. Definitely recommend.
Glenys goes above and beyond the call of duty, and I am so sorry to have arrived so late, I hadn't expected to take so long. The house is charming and super clean and the bedroom and bedclothes are clean and neat and comfortable (even a hotwater bottle, though not due to there being a lack of central heating). Down to chocolates and bars by the bedside. I had the best breakfast ever and enjoyed very much our free conversation and relaxed vibe and the impish dog shadow who'd pop out from time to time for a little hello. Recomend without stint or hesitation.
to get the address and phone number of the host one has to receive this private information with the booking confirmation.I tried to text via the site connection many times but this will not be printed there for security reasons.
I managed to text Declan's personal mobile but he had it switched off as he was driving. All a bit frustrating but guided him in eventually!
Glenys made my stay as comfortable as possible and provided me with a lovely evening meal and breakfast.
Glenys was a very kind attentive host. Glenys offered to pick me up from the station. I didn't want to give her the trouble and walked, which took about 20 minutes. When I arrived I was welcomed with a cup of tea, and the offer of supper too. Glenys offered a full English breakfast, though I chose cereal and toast. The house was clean tidy and homely – you can’t ask for much more. If you’re staying in Carmarthen then I'd thoroughly recommend you stay with Glenys.
Glenys was really lovely and welcomed me with a pot of tea and even offered me some of her soup, when I arrived. She even drove to the bus stop to pick me up, foreseeing that it would be dangerous for me to be walking to her place at night.
Her place was really clean and cosy and she really puts in the effort to make you feel at home. When I entered the guest room, the beds were made (she even does this for you when you're out the next day), towels and soap were ready for me on the bed, and she even placed a chocolate bar and a bottle of mineral water at the bedside table.
Glenys was extremely hospitable and was always offering to make me a pot of tea and offering me some snacks and desserts that she had prepared for herself. On the second day of my stay, she even gave me a lift to the the train station when I was running late for my train to Tenby.
Being hosted by Glenys was definitely my most pleasant airbnb experience so far and I would definitely recommend this place to stay in if you're looking for a pleasant and comfortable temporary stopover at Carmarthen.
Ah Clarissa I only wish that I had more time to take you out but it was a bit frantic here with the pre- Christmas preparations! Still you had a taste of the goodies.
As I explained I cannot offer a full holiday at bnb price but you are welcome for few days in the summer time if you wish, and explore on the bus/train net work An evening meal option is avaialble and if you don't mind eating what I might be making anyway I can share that for £5 per day. God Bless and good luck with your studies.
