The Space

Available in amazing artist loft in a great area of Bk I like to call Williamsbush :P in between Williamsburg and Bushwick in between the Montrose and Morgan stops off the L train a short 12 min train ride to Union Square in Manhattan and only a 2-3 minute walk to train station.

Kinda like an Art Gallery/Antique Shop/Museum home-loft itself is huge 3000 sq ft two floor six bedroom artist loft. Two bedrooms upstairs with ginormous living room, two antique couches, big screen tv, cable, wifi, and sometimes a swing! salon chair for cutting hair, industrial sewing machine, dining table, fully stocked kitchen and two clean baths. Then four big bedrooms downstairs with a small cozy guest room.

Room is teeny and cute roughly 10' by 6' with 6' ceiling (so you will have to bend if over 6 feet tall) furnished with a single size bed, a dresser, cute antique desk and antique lamp. Be advised doesn't have a window but is private and secure. And our wonderful living room is there too to hang out all you want of course with all amenities included and huge windows with tons of light. (There is also a slender spiral staircase that leads down to the room on the lower level to let you know)

Area's also super cool and inspirational, full of younger artistic types roaming around and loads of amenities. Laundry in building, small park on corner, 24hr bodegas and health food stores right by, great coffee shops, restaurants and bars, and only a two and a half min walk from subway station!

Shared by an eclectic mix of ages, races, sexes, and backgrounds and cat who thinks he's a dog so hope you aren't too allergic. Please be Clean, Considerate, Respectful, Responsible and Mature. Great for a short stay and want to see a Real perspective of Ny living, or in between places and (email hidden) to crash.

Guest Access

Full access to entire flat, (except other peoples rooms of course), kitchen, bathrooms, living room/common area, and which ever room you happen to be staying in :)

Interaction with Guests

I may or may not be present and there are five other mates in the flat to communicate with, conversate with and hang out if availability permits :) we love having out of towners and meeting new and interesting people!

The Neighborhood

In between the Montrose and Morgan stops off the L train a short 12 minute commute to Union Square in Manhattan a major hub train station that can get you pretty much Anywhere within NYC. Plenty of great bars, coffee shops, and restaurants. Very safe at All hours, and even a new great vintage clothing store right on the corner that's actually very fair priced!

Getting around

L train a short 3 minute walk away and less than 15 minutes to Union Square. Also a great bike available to use at your disposal!

Other Things to Note

Laundry in building as well too, if one wishes to do so.

  • Staying at Rico's place was great! The loft itself is incredible, so many amazing rooms & art everywhere, something to see throughout the building. The room is small & cozy but is a really lovely place to come back to at the end of a tiring day. It's also literally a 5 minute walk for the nearest subway station, linking you right away to anywhere in the city. The surrounding area has lots to explore as well if you don't want to venture too far.
There are always lots of friendly people about to chat to & Rico is a really pleasant & welcoming host. He made me feel right at home!
I would definitely recommend staying here, it's an amazing experience! I really hope to revisit at some stage :)

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Rico for a few days - he was SO nice, friendly, accommodating (even though we were late getting there on our first night…). I love the flat and its layout. Everything was clean, and the other people living in the flat were all very pleasant. It was a quiet neighborhood, only a short walk to the subway station, and had some great places to eat in the area! I would definitely come again!

  • Rico is the best person I've ever met, so kind, so funny and very welcoming. His place sounds exactly like him so I enjoyed my time so much and never wanted to leave... The neighborhood worth it too if you like street art and awesome vintage shops and restaurants.

  • I had a great time staying with Rico and his flatmates. Everyone was very welcoming and made me feel relaxed right away. The listing is close to the subway (5 min walk) and in a great neighbourhood that is extremely creative and vibrant. The flat itself was great fun to stay in and amazingly decorated (the photos really don't do it justice!) as well as having all the essentials for the stay. I met some great people and had a fantastic time and was recommended some great places around the area!

  • Call of the hunt, look no further, Rico's accommodation is perfect!
I felt so at home at Rico’s house, it was the most amazing, friendly place to stay. I am so glad I decided to stay at Rico’s and I highly recommend booking it, Rico is so welcoming and such a fantastic person. It was a joy to be able to share his house for a short period of time.

    Thanks for a great time.

  • Rico now is one of my fav hosts! Super nice, charming and welcoming. One week flew so fast didnt really realized - I definitely felt like home at his apartment. Even sough room was "Tiny and cozy" as in description - I felt like Cinderella - huge mirror, princess cupboard. There are always cool people in the loft - you can hang out there before exploring the NYC/Williamsburg or afterwards - having a rest while talking to nice people during the tea time . Cool neighborhood full of young professionals and students - "hipster" mood supported by great cafes/bars/shops around. Thanks a lot for great experience and I definitely will recommend this place! ))
