Interaction with Guests

Our neighborhood is quite an amazing blend of suburban loveliness, next door to the hip, urban restaurants and farmers market at Shaker Square, two blocks from beautiful lakes and parks, and less than a ten minute drive to Cleveland's famous hospitals, museums, universities and orchestra. We are only a 15 minute drive to downtown Cleveland.
4 doors from our home is a stop of the rapid transit train, a type of trolley that goes directly downtown and on to the Science Center and Rock Hall on the weekends. A bus that travels to the hospitals, Case, and museums stops only an 8-minute walk away. A car is fun to have, but not necessary to get around.
No smoking, candles or incense. No parties or loud music or loud tv after hours.
Generally, no pets (but let me know if you think I should make an exception). Non-smokers preferred.
If you can take a few minutes to create your AirBnB profile before contacting us, that would be helpful.
Please wash your dishes and leave the rooms as you found them - clean and neat. If you have time to put towels and sheets in the hamper when you leave, that would be ideal. Please also bring trash and recycling downstairs on Sunday nights for Monday morning collection. Other than that, help yourself to coffee and tea, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and view of the treetops, and make yourself at home!
A lovely place to stay - very convenient to Shaker Square and the Rapid. The private 3rd floor suite had all the amenities we needed for our short stay. Comfortable home and friendly family, with a big backyard and swingset that are great for kids. Mimi went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even bringing up a basket of toys for our daughter. We'll be happy to stay there again next time we are in town!
It was wonderful being able to have stayed here while visiting family in the area. We originally chose the suite because it's in one of the loveliest parts of Greater Cleveland and an easy walk to restaurants, services and public transit. The best thing about the stay, however, was the warm and relaxing atmosphere we always were able to come home to. Mimi is very understanding and thinks of everything to make one's stay comfortable.
Staying at Mimi's was a great experience. From the first time I messaged to the end of our stay (even after I'd "checked out"), Mimi was very helpful and accommodating. She was also a clear and quick communicator, professional while still being very welcoming.
The accommodations and amenities were as described. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The ceilings slant at the sides, so the rooms are cozy, but I am 6'5" and this was not a problem. It was a lovely place to stay. Plus they had great artwork and a nice selection of books to peruse.
I feel very confident recommending this listing for your next visit to Cleveland.
Nice cozy and clean suite. Worked out well for us as we were visiting our grand children. Very close to our son's house and worked out well to be able to have more room and a private bathroom. We spent our time with our son and his family so mostly saw Mimi leaving in the morning and coming back at night. Mimi was a good host and showed us how everything worked in the suite. Plenty of towels and wife worked fine. We didn't use the food prep as we ate meals at our son's house but there were plenty of basic (website hidden) only had basic channels but worked fine. We suggested to Mimi that she put something at the curb so address is more visible and she was very receptive. All in all a nice place.
Very nice stay in this home. Case Western was only 10 min drive, Shaker city center only a few hundred yard. Home was in nice neighborhood. Quiet suite on top floor of beuatiful house. Suite and hosts were very nice. Both made you really feel welcome.
Mimi & Bill are a wonderful hosts, very kind, flexible and very willing to help.
They really make you feel at home.
Their place its awesome, the area that they rent it is very comfortable and tastefully decorated.
You can find there everything you need and more...., they have very kind details such as provide coffe, milk, fruits, yogurt. A guide of the tourist places, restaurants and more.
Due, our personal situation we couldn´t stay many time in their place , but we could enjoy a lot the few days we were there.
The neighbourhood is very quite and pretty and we could enjoy the autumn colors around.
If you have plan to visit Cleveland don´t hesitate to contact them.
I am sure that you will have the good experience that we had.
Mimi was great!! The loft area of the house is beautiful and was a perfect set up for a writer. Mimi and her husband were very helpful in telling me about the cool spots and how to get around Cleveland. She was also quite interested in what I did which made me feel at home. :)

I grew up in Cleveland, lived in the NYC/NJ area for many years and moved back here in 2003. I love being back - it is so easy to get places, so affordable and people are so nice and friendly. You can enjoy the beauty of nature all around you when you walk out your door and still be near countless cultural and urban pleasures a few blocks away.
I still love visiting New York and look forward to doing a lot more travel in the years ahead.
