This lovely 1920s 4 bedroom house is recently renovated, is two blocks from a gorgeous beach and boardwalk, has cable tv, wireless internet, a private cedar deck with gas grill, a covered porch off the dining room, washer/dryer, and is beautifully furnished with a perfect blend of antique and modern. Each sun filled room is painted a different color of sea glass and of course is air conditioned. But this house is anything but the cookie cutter condo! It's close to everything - supermarkets, coffee shops, great boutiques and restaurants, best pizza in town- really anything you might need...
Ocean city itself boasts its original boardwalk and amusement parks, surrey bikes, salt water taffy, a concert pier overlooking the beach, charming shops - there's even a bird sanctuary on the island and it's a stop on the migration route for the monarch butterfly sometime in September! The town is packed with fun activities for kids and adults all year long including concerts, antique car shows, fireworks, great dining and shopping, parasailing- even surfing lessons for those intrepid adventurers! Ocean city easily lives up to its reputation as "America's favorite family resort"....
So if you're looking for a restorative, fun-filled, old fashioned good time in a lovely old house in a wonderful historic town, this place is for you!

Myoshin's home is a special place and we enjoyed every moment of our week-long stay. She's a great host and communicator, available via email, phone and text and answering all of our questions quickly. The house is unique to the area - perhaps the only one with true charm and character. Highly recommend if you're looking for a low-key getaway at the Jersey Shore. Thank you!
We had a wonderful week in late August 2012 at Myoshin and Kevin's beach house and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an Ocean City getaway. Our group was two young families with two infants and a 2.5-year-old, and the house was extremely family-friendly. Some other plusses:
- Close to the beach. Great, short walk; awesome, central entrance location on boardwalk
- Just a few blocks from some of our favorite restaurants and spots, like the Fractured Prune donut shoppe
- Deck was great for grilling, and outdoor shower was fantastic
- Shabby chic decor really grew on us. We were surprised at first how old the house looked from outside, but it was extremely nice on inside and very comfortable (A/C window units did the job just fine).
My one and only critique of the house was the peach tree off the deck, which shed a great deal of fruit. Every day I found myself picking up 10 or so pieces of fruit-fly-covered peach carcases. Hopefully they will either harvest the tree sooner in the season or remove it.
Still, even here there is a silver lining: The back deck was home to several butterfly bushes which were teeming with butterflies. About 10 or so at any given time. My daughter was in heaven following them around, and inspecting the leaves for caterpillars.
Thanks for a memorable, happy vacation, Myoshin and Kevin!
This house is highly recommended by us.
Super location, only 2 blocks from the beach. The itself is really beautiful while the boardwalk has plenty of eating options and entertainment - particularly for kids.
The house itself has 4 large bedrooms, separate kitchen, separate dining room and extremely large sitting room. There are also two lovely patio areas on separate sides of the house to avail of sun most of the day.
Myo and Kevin were really great hosts in terms of responding to our queries and offering advice on what to do and where to go.
We genuinely hope to return to their home again some day in the future.
