  • What lucky people you are.

Mires is wonderful. You couldn't hope for a nicer person.

The flat itself was equally superb.. We came for the marathon, and the apartment easily accommodated three large chaps. The enormous terrace gets the sun throughout the day and overlooks a beautiful old market. The location was also excellent, a ten minute walk to seemingly anywhere important. I'd have no hesitation in going straight back to Mires next time I come to town.

  • Was here for 7 days with a friend. Had a great stay. Very spacious (Pictures are accurate). Comfy beds. Close to la Ramblas. Ongoing construction was never an issue (Very rarely did I hear any construction going on, even with the terrace door open). Nice view. Real close to the Metro (lines L2, and L3). Good shops all around the area for food/clothes/electronics. Great heating. The only issue I would say I had was that the shower could have had a bit more pressure. I would stay here again!

  • When we arrived to Mires house we didn't know that a macro construction of Sant Antoni Market (just in front of the flat) was going on. The noise of the drills and cranes were constant... We had no new from the owner and we felt disappointed about that. So we had to change our plans and start the adventure of looking for a new place in the middle of our Christmas holidays..

    Response from Mires:

The construction of Sant Antoni Market is going since 2009 and this is the first time a guest complains about noise. I lived myself in the apartment with my baby and what I can say is that was not disturbing for us.
Since the apartment is in airbnb, the construction is going on and we never had a bad review from 65.
And I am surprised to hear that they had no news from me, I was in contact since the first day and I gave them all the time they needed to find another place.

  • My best friend and I stayed in this apartment for five nights in October 2013. We both loved its' location! Within walking distance of the Sant Antoni Metro (on the purple line), so many great marketplaces and bakeries (including a daily market with fresh meat, fish, cheese and produce). We also found it very easy to use the apartment as a jumping off point for exploring this magical city.

The apartment itself has everything you might need - two bedrooms, a kitchen where we made many meals, a dishwasher, an espresso machine (became addicted and bought one when I got home - changed my life!), and a washer with a large drying rack (which came in handy since this was the finale of our 16-day holiday). It also has a killer sound system where you can plug in your Iphone, Android or Ipod - and the system has a setting that allows you to hear the music both inside and outside on the terrace.

Speaking of the terrace - it's amazing! We ate breakfast and dinner out there almost every night - listening to music, drinking wine and lounging on the rather comfortable outdoor furniture. Mires even provides a tarp that you can use to cover the furniture so that it stays dry in the event of overnight rain or mist.

I would stay at this property again when I come back!

  • The apartment was clean, spacious, and nicely appointed - we especially loved the terrace. Mires was kind enough to wait for us in the apartment when we arrived a bit late, though the streets were about to be closed to vehicle traffic for a public celebration. The location of the apartment is terrific, with sights and resources nearby. We'd all love to return one day!

  • What a wonderful home and host! Mires made us feel so welcome in her brilliantly located and comfortable flat. It was just perfect - and the terrace is amazing! Will definitely be back.

  • The property is beautiful. The outdoor area was our favourite place to kick back and relax with a gin and tonic. This accommodation was the best amongst 6 we stayed over 7weeks.

  • The apartment worked out great. Great location- we walked everywhere and there's a metro stop really close to the apt. Theres great security and we felt safe. The terrace definitely is the highlight of the apartment. We had breakfast and drinks there every day!

Taking the bus from the airport is easy- save some money and take it!

  • We stayed for a week in this cosy and practical apartment. We were two adults and two children ages 11 and 13. The location is super, and the terrace is worth a lot! You find everything you need within walking-distance. The apartment was clean and tidy, and the aircon was very effective! Mires met us when we arrived and she was very helpful giving us advice and tips that helped us during our stay. The kitchen was not very well equipped, so if you plan to make your own dinners it has to be held in simple forms...but there are so many good tapas-places just around the corner, so why bother...?

  • Thank you Mires for the stay in your rooftop retreat. It was so nice to spend mornings with a cup of coffee looking toward the spires of la Sagrada Familia and evenings with a glass of wine watching the street life unfold. We loved the location and met a wonderful family across the street who run the corner restaurant. Terrific ambiance and neighborhood where everything we needed was quite handy. Great experience!

I am happy beeing in Barcelona. I just regret not to be from abroad to discover again my city. I'd love to discover Barcelona again, always... I'm also from Paris and Lisbon, where I lived. And I feel that I have a life to live in NYC and in Rio de Janeiro. I enjoy spending time with friends with wines and good food. Isn't great to walk to the beach at noon? or the sunny days? Soy feliz de estar en Barcelona. Bueno, quizás lamento no ser extranjera para descubrir de nuevo a mi ciudad. Me encantaría descubrirla otra vez, siempre. También me siento de Paris y Lisboa, donde he vivido trozos de mi vida. Y tengo una vida pendiente en Nueva York y otra en Rio de Janeiro. ¿No es maravilloso pasear por la tarde en la playa? ¿Y los días soleados?
