CHARMING APARTMENT IN THE MEDIEVAL CENTER OF UZES
We are proposing for short-term rental a 83m2 (900 sq/feet) apartment for 3-4 persons, right in the medieval heart of Uzès (a tower, connected to the apartment may be additionally rented).
This apartment is very clean, nicely furnished, and secure. It is located on the 3rd floor of a freshly renovated 3 stories, 16th century, typical Uzesian style house.
The tower has two floors. The first one is used as storage and dryer room. The second is a summer lounge with a 360° view of the city, its monuments and surroundings (local “garrigue” vegetation).
The apartment includes:
- a living room (31 m2), plus a kitchen-dining room (11m2),
- a master bed room (Queen size bed), calm and great view (17m2),
- a second bedroom with 2 twinsize beds (11m2),
- a bathroom and WC.

The rental includes TV, broadband WIFI, a washing machine, 2 bikes, house linen, a secured and covered parking space (next door).
Uzès, 1st french dukedom, is a very charming and historical small town, worldwide known for its medieval castle, its old street and alleyway, its places and monuments (“place aux herbes”, tour fenestrelle…), without forgetting its famous factory and museum of the candy brand HARIBO.
All services (bars, restaurants, shops, antique stores…) are located within a 5 minutes walk. The saturday farmer market (fruits, veggies, meat, fish, local products & arts) located on “la place aux herbes” (1 minute walk) is one of the top 10 nicest french typical market (see Uzes and surroundings photos).
Uzès is the ideal base camp to explore this fascinating part of France (Pont du Gard et gorges du Gardon, the “garrigue” (french southern vegetation), les Cévennes, Arles, Avignon, Nîmes, Montpellier…), hiking and biking trails, river canoeing and swimming.

N'habitant pas Uzès je ne pourrai vous réceptionner. Vous serez reçu par une amie (Monica) qui vous donnera les instructions et tous les renseignements dont vous aurez besoin.
Les frais de ménage de 110 € comprennent les frais de lingerie pour 40 € (pour 3 personnes) et la remise en état de l'appartement pour 70 €. Une somme de 10 € est à prévoir par personne au delà de 3 pour la lingerie.

- Penser aux provisions de repas et petits déjeuners, les commerces ferment tôt et ne sont pas ouverts de 12 à 14 heures.
- Eviter le bruit excessif, surtout après 22 heures.
- Ne pas fumer dans les chambres.
- Les animaux ne sont pas admis.
- Parking couvert à proximité (inclus).
- Mise à disposition de 2 bicyclettes (inclus).
- Frais de ménage : 70 euros (obligatoire).
- Frais de lingerie : 40 euros pour 3 personnes + 10 euros par personne supplémentaire (obligatoire).
- Location tour (vue exceptionnelle, possibilité d'y prendre des repas, faire sécher le linge) : 100 euros par séjour et/ou par semaine.
- En cas de problème joindre la personne qui gère sur place mon appartement.

We had a wonderful week staying in Michel’s apartment – quite honestly, it was perfect – amazing location with fabulous views from every window, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean! We have never used airbnb before – but shall certainly do so again! Communication couldn’t have been easier – I heard back from Michel promptly – and he was very accommodating of our arrival on a Sunday.
Our arrival time was delayed as there had been an accident and road works on the A9 so the 2 hour journey from the airport was four and half hours – but Monica was there to welcome us. She was so helpful – gave us great ideas for places to eat, best bakery etc! and left us her contact details if we needed further assistance - which we didn't.
It was great to have garage parking which was in a secure multiple underground car park. Our hire car was a Citroen C3 and we didn’t have any problems with access. As I say, it was perfect stay!
Our host Monica was excellent. She met us at the apartment to go over everything, she gave us an overview of the town, where to shop and some recommendations of restaurants to eat at.
The apartment was great. Well equipped, comfortable, charming, quiet and well located within the town. Parking underground was a plus. I would highly recommend this apartment to a couple or a family.
This was a wonderful flat for our family of four. Spacious, beautifully furnished, extremely well equipped, light and airy, with great views as well as being perfectly located just inside the old town. Just don't take a huge bag as I did because you will have to lug it up the three storeys! Unfortunately the wonderful Monica was away when we arrived but we got the pleasure of her warm efficiency at the end of our stay.
Our host had a wonderful person named Monica who greeted us and made us feel very welcome. She was always available to answer any of our questions by phone or email.
The apartment was charming and had everything that we needed. The central plaza was just steps away with amazing outdoor dining and many restaurants. The town of Uzes is beautiful and historic and we could walk everywhere.
The walk up 58 circular steps was a great workout for all of us, but we didn't mind because of the great views from our apartment. There are large windows in every room with cool breezes even during hot days so it does not matter that there is no airconditioning.
The apartment comes with a parking space in an underground parking structure a short walk away. I would recommend renting a small car because the space in the parking garage is small, but this is very typical in Europe. It was very important for us to have the ease of our own parking space and not have to search for a spot in town.
Wednesday morning is the marketplace in the plaza. We enjoyed sampling the food of the region. They sell fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, cheeses and herbs and spices and so much more. It is an amazing display of food from the region.
This apartment was a perfect choice for our week in Uzes. Centrally located in a secure building with separate secure parking, it was an ideal base from which to explore the area.
The apartment was spacious and cool - which is essential for summers in France.
The space is thoughtfully and practically furnished , and having had the opportunity to buy some produce at the wonderful Saturday market, we were able to dine in one night. Otherwise, we took advantage of the various dining options promoted by the lovely Monica, who met us on arrival. Monica also very graciously made herself available to deal with any problems that may arise. Happily, none did.
We took advantage of the tower which has wonderful views and was a perfect spot from which to enjoy a cool rose or two in the evening.
The bedding configuration allowed us to enjoy a good night's sleep - or a late afternoon nap under a fan which we really appreciated, given that we had a few days of particularly high temperatures.
All in all a fantastic apartment which I would thoroughly recommend for short or longer stays.

Fantastique ! L'appartement dispose de vues absolument magnifiques sur Uzès. Nous avons profité d'un ameublement et d'une décoration cinq étoiles. Très vite, on se sent comme chez soi. Le parking sécurisé est bien pratique, si l'on vient en voiture. Notre séjour à Uzès nous laissera un très beau souvenir. Je recommande cette location sans réserve.
Another in a long line of satisfied visitors. The apartment is outstanding. It met all our needs. Spacious, well set out, excellent facilities, views, privacy and what a bonus the secure parking is. Add Monica our host to the mix and we can't rate the apartment highly enough. The town itself helps no end. It's a pretty place with much to do in and around the surrounding area. This is our second visit and won't be the last. Now we have found this apartment we have somewhere outstanding to stay as well.
