Salem, Oregon, United States

The neighborhood is set a little bit away from downtown (about 1.5 miles), but it is still an easy walk for hikers or bikers into downtown and super close to Bush Park. It's also an easy walk to Willamette University, Salem Hospital and the downtown core for such delicious treats as a dinner out at Table 508 or an evening at the Elsinore Theater. The park itself is home to the Art Fair and several other festivals in the summer months such as the derby and the sofa races. Yes, you too can easily walk to the park from your home to watch people race sofas down the derby track. I might suggest a cup of coffee from Archive or the Konditeri before you start.Like other historic neighborhoods, Bush Park homes vary greatly in architecture, size, and amenities. Part of this neighborhood is designated in Salem’s designated Historic District. The Historic District is on Lefelle and within one block of Bush park. You will also find a smattering of homes that are on the National Historic Register as well. Strolling down the tree lined streets in the fall and watching the colors swirl around you, makes you crave a hot bowl of soup when you get home. The historic architecture creates a sense of cozy charm that seems part of an era long gone by.

My name is Angela Jones, I grew up and have lived in Salem for the majority of my life. It is my home and I am so excited to share it with visitors! I have twin boys Max and Sam, who I am currently using my vacation rentals income to help put them both through college! My boys are my world, and I am proud of both of them. I am also an Arbonne Independent Consultant. Arbonne provides pure, safe and beneficial health and beauty products. Our products are made for those that don't want to use harsh chemicals and want true results in their health and their looks! As I got closer to having to start paying for my boys college, I decided to launch my vacation rental business with my Downtown Salem Loft. a 2400 sq ft "New York Style Loft" Apartment in the oldest historical building in downtown Salem. I quickly realized this was my nitch, I was great at hosting guests and providing beautiful, affordable lodging in our Capitol City and Greater Willamette Valley and so it began. My vacation rental company is SalemStays. Currently I have 7 vacation rentals in Salem, 1 In Independence Oregon towards the coast and wine country and 1 in Stayton Oregon on the trail to Silver Falls State park and the Oregon Gardens! I love the hospitality business and supplying guests with beautiful, comfortable, and usable spaces to stay in for a much more reasonable price than staying in a hotel. I love to get to know all my guests and to make new connections. I hope you stay with me if you ever come to Salem OR or the Greater Willamette Valley.
