Quiet setting with scenic views of Malibu State Park. Within minutes of Surfrider, Malibu Cross Creek, Pepperdine University and endless hiking trails. Quick access to 101 Freeway, stores, theaters and shopping. Perfect business or vacation retreat!
It's perfectly located, a 15-minute drive through scenic Malibu Canyon offers easy access to the Surfrider Beach and Cross Creek in Malibu. It's a quiet, isolated, second-floor condominium unit with views of Malibu Creek State park out of every window. There are a dozen hiking trail heads within minutes and a sunset or sunrise drive along Mulholland offers one of the most scenic drives in Greater Los Angeles. The unit is located within five minutes of the 101 freeway heading north and south with quick access to stores, organic grocers and great restaurants.
It's a two-bedroom condo unit, but guests currently have access to only one of the rooms and a single bed. The couch in the front room is exceptionally comfortable and can accommodate one or two additional guests.
Interaction with Guests
While I try to greet guests, I will not always be present during their stay, but available via cell phone or text message.
The neighborhood is quiet, except for the occasional beautiful sound of coyotes howling in the field next to the complex or from along Las Virgenes Creek, which runs behind the complex. It's a great mix of modern amenities while staying connected to nature.
Calabasas City offers free bus service and bus stops are conveniently located that take riders to Warner Center and connect to the Orange busway line that runs across the San Fernando Valley, with links to downtown Los Angeles and beyond.
Other Things to Note
Pets are welcome! We have a dog that doubles as a daughter. It's a second-story unit, which means having to take pets outside and cleaned up after.
Absolutely no smoking, of any kind, allowed. The only thing burned inside on occasion would be incense.
David is an absolute gem as a host. Kind, thoughtful, responsive, considerate. He welcomed me with fruits and bagels. The pictures of his lovely condo do not do it justice. It is a 1BR but the couch accommodates another person, if there is a need. Such a lovely place to stay. I will definitely be back when I am back to the area on business.
The views of Malibu State Park from every window and quick access to dozens of hiking trails drew me to this location. Nature is what keeps me sane and moving forward, so the total immersion—the mountains, the beach, the desert—available on the outskirts of Los Angeles is an amazing plus, especially with so many big city benefits also readily accessible. It's not the Taj Mahal, but my condo is a quiet retreat from it all.
