This b & b is created and managed by the family Braganti: the head of household Charles and his two sons Stephen and Robert. A unique and friendly atmosphere will greet you upon your arrival and make your stay relaxing and memorable.
Three rooms at guests' disposal, one with private bathroom, the other two, with a shared bathroom. Large windows that open the view, from an enviable location, the city of Imperia. The ability to enjoy the lush garden with a little 'sun or read a book cradled by the trees.
Free private parking allows you to leave your car and enjoy the city on foot. The beaches of Borgo Foce are only 700m and the town center is just around the corner 300m from the villa. Imperia offers its tourists than the mild and sunny climate, the beach always clean and clear, places of great interest from the point of view of history and architecture.
The complex Parasio overlooking the areas of Porto Maurizio, absolutely requires a visit: the Cathedral of San Maurizio, the Lodges of Santa Chiara and Palazzo Pagliari are just some of the characteristics we admire most. Do not forget the rich hinterland, will advise on the most interesting routes to follow to go in search of small villages that still mantegono the habits and customs of the past, where you can buy directly from local producers, oil, wine and other products.
Our city is also a good starting point for day trips to France: discover the Principality of Monaco or Nice. We're sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by our welcome and our territories, and will look forward to come back and visit us.
Carlo’s house is located at the top of a hill – overlooking the old town of Porto Mauricio. It is a beautifully kept villa with marble stair case, tall ceilings and an overall great atmosphere. The bedrooms and baths are clean & bright and each have a balcony / terrace overlooking the garden. Bathrooms are shared as is the terrace for two of the rooms. Breakfast is served in the garden under old pine trees. We were even allowed to use the kitchen for making egg & bacon (“German breakfast”) – to extend the already sumptuous choice of jam, yoghurt, fruits and juices. Carlo has an excellent sense of humor and was a lovely host always giving us full attention but also privacy. Thank your for having us and sharing your paradise with us!
Cycling path along the coast from San Lorenzo al Mare to San Remo and beyond is well recommended. As are trips to San Remo, Diano Marina, Alassio and Dolcedo (stroll along the river to Lecchio).
Market in Imperia / Oneglia on Tuesday and Saturdays; The Porto Mauricio market (with similar fare) is on Wednesday.
It was very pleasant stay in Carlo's house. He is very nice and friendly host and makes you feel almost as you are part of family. The rooms and bathroom are perfectly clean and he cleans every day which was nice surprise. The breakfast was moment we were looking forward each day. We got some nice suggestions about beaches and places to visit around and Carlo's choice was always good. He let the visitors use kitchen and garden without limits so you can buy some nice italian stuff and cook and eat it in garden. The parking is private so you do not need to worry about your car. Imperia is also very nice small city with beautiful centre and harbour full of restaurants and bars. Both families and young people would find some entertainment. In case you are without car you just have to count with quite heavy hill until you reach the house but it's worth it. Also the people who really do not like animals should not book this place. Carlo has amazing dog which is friendly and listen to the boss but it's still animal in house and I can understand that some people would not be happy. But for us it was another plus as we love dogs and my little daugher loves the dog as well. If we ever goes near this part of Italy again, I would definitely stay at Carlo's house again and would recommend it to all my friends as well.
I had a great time staying at Carlo's B&B. He works very hard to make his guests comfortable. He was very responsive to every single request we had. Fresh home style breakfast is served every day on the patio. As long as you don't mind a big friendly dog, it's a good budget place to stay in Imperia. Only 10-15 min walk to the beach and the train station. Thank you, Carlo, for your hospitality!
The house has a cool micro-climate as it sits atop a hill within walking distance of Imperia's beaches, some restaurants overlooking the sea, and is just a short walk to downtown. Breakfast in summer in a garden shaded by fully grown trees was a plus.
