Where to stay on your vacation?! How about a little glamping on Sam's Hill? That's what we call our guest camper.

We're located just up the hill from Cayuga Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes! Come for an art or music festival but stay for hiking, swimming, kayaking or a wine tour. All just 10 miles from Ithaca!

It's lovely to stay here. Have your own bonfire, stroll our trails or simply sip and sit by the pond.

The space
Peaceful 1 bedroom guest camper with all the amenities of home, set on 9+ acres in the middle of the Finger Lakes with NO CLEANING FEE unless you want us to do your dishes for an extra fee of 20.00 per day.

There so much to do here, camping, hiking, kayaking, as well as art and music festivals. We also boast a number of wine tours, cider houses, and brewpubs. You can whip something up on your grill or seek out one of the many restaurants in Trumansburg, Watkins Glen or Ithaca. And there's more to see and do from museums to watersports.
We're centrally located if you're signed up for a class in stained glass, woodworking, birdwatching or painting.

There are maps and lists of places to go and things to do set out for you inside the camper but don't hesitate to ask if you want a recommendation ahead of time. Here are a few of my fav's:

Taughannock Falls (1 mile from here) has a choice of a 3-mile hike around the ridge of the falls or a simple 1-mile walk to the base of the falls. They also offer kayak rentals, swimming, and lake from picnics. They usually host music in the park on Saturday evenings and the Taughannock Farms Inn has gorgeous views!

A scenic drive along rte 414 on Seneca Lake, just over the hill from us, offers another hike to a lovely waterfall in Watkins Glen and the Blue Point Grill has seating by the water.

Nearby Treman has a hike and one of my favorite swimming holes and nearby Ithaca has a ton of restaurants, museums, clubs, theaters, etc. My favorite there would be Mia's on the commons.

On Sunday the Brunch at the Stone Cat or either morning at the Ithaca Farmers Market is pretty sweet.

I hope that gives you a few lings to consider. Oh yeah, the Hazelnut kitchen here in Trumansburg is fab! So is the Cider House but I think they only serve lunch? We also have a cool coffee shop, Gimme Coffee, by the creek, cute shops, bowling, etc.

There are music festivals through the summer too. Check out the BBQ V happening every August in the summer and Grassroots in July! There are also wine/beer and cider tours and trails on both Seneca and Cayuga Lake year round.
