Porte 22 is a home away from home. The location is perfect. It's close to the town center yet it sits in a quaint street. The kitchen is well equipped and well stocked. We appreciate the careful thoughts that Louise has put into the apartment to make our stay wonderful. The AC is life saver when a historic heat wave followed us to France. :)

After a long flight from the States, it was truly heaven to arrive at Porte 22. Louise has created a beautiful, calm, and comfortable space for her guests. We were soon enjoying our first sip of wine (Rosé of course) on the terrace at the top of the house, soaking up the Languedoc sun. The deck is a special treat and we felt so lucky to share Louise's slice of paradise in Pézenas! Louise has simply thought of everything that you could ever need while staying at her place. Beach towels? Check. Pique-Nique basket? Check. Bikes for riding the back roads through the country side? Check! We're huge fans and we'll be back.

Our experience in pezenas was a beautiful one. Patty was full of information, was timely and friendly. The welcome basket was extra nice. Your home was a step back into time but with all the upgrades and comfort that we loved. The terrace was our favorite place to have an afternoon cocktail and enjoy the sun and just relax. I couldn't wait to go have coffee in the town square and next door we would buy a fresh baguette and a fabulous pastry. A lot to see and do around pezenas so I would say it was perfect.

Thank for your lovely words about your stay in our home. We love having such enthusiastic and appreciative guests, as it makes all our hard work so worthwhile. As we write, we also have a pastry at our side from next door.... See you again in Pezenas!

Our stay in Pezanes as Louise's home was one of the best of our 100 aribnb stays throughout Europe. We were met at the bus station by Louises good friend Patty who shared local culture with us on the drive and then showed us the apartment and went over the city maps and recommendations for local restaurants and activities. There was a gift basket filled with local specialties, fresh bread and a bottle of Rose. You could not ask for a better welcome! The apartment itself is wonderful It was warm and welcoming and so comfortable. It was even better than the pictures! You get a real sense of what a home was like 350 years ago, but with all the modern conveniences of today. The kitchen was amazing, I went to the huge Saturday market and stocked up on ingredients, but a large Carrefour is a ten minute walk away for anything else you might need, so you can cook to your heart's delight. We hope you find this home and this historic village as you explore the south of France. It is worth any detour!

You have both mastered the concept of living the local experience and your efforts to get to know the local ins and outs during your stay endear you to your hosts as well as to the local community. Your spotless care of our home is much appreciated as are the very pleasant communications we enjoyed. Thank you for your detailed positive feedback. We take your compliments on the kitchen with special pride, knowing that you have visited 100 airbnb kitchens on the continent. May we say again that the birthday banana bread you produced from Porte 22's chef's over was divine! See you again soon, we'll be waiting.

17th century France meets 21st century travel. There is not a surface in this tastefully restored apartment that has not received the study and touch of an exceptional interior decorator. My wife, who fancies herself quite the cook, found the kitchen superbly equipped. Lighting and electrical outlets, often lacking in restored older buildings, are plentiful. I could go on but would only be repeating what others have previously written. All have described every aspect of this home accurately.

Response from Louise:
It was a pleasure to have you both at Porte 22, and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We humbly accept your generous compliment on the interior decoration and the kitchen, which we designed ourselves, but will pass on your comments to our expert Master Painter! Once again we have been so fortunate to host wonderful guests whom we would happily welcome again.

The spaciousness, modern ammenities and great location were real pluses of Louise's apartment. We felt very comfortable here and found the kitchen easy to use and the bed comfortable. Like other reviewers it was the rooftop terrace that was so enjoyable especially with its own kitchen, crickey etc. Great for brunches . The bonus of the garage space quite near to the apartment was certainly appreciated. This is a stylish Airbnb that won't disappoint. Thanks to Patty for the early arrival help too.

Response from Louise:
Thank you so much for your lovely review and for mentioning the aspects that you appreciated most. We're lucky with the roof terrace; and we're so pleased our guests feel the same! Glad the warm weather held out for you both. You'll be welcome back if you come this way again.

We had a fantastic stay in Pezenas, the house was as amazing as the pictures show and family dinners up on the terrace in the warm evenings are things we will never forget. Our whole trip to Europe was based around this house and it did not disappoint, it had so much history and was so cosy and inviting we did not want to leave. The market is a must, we stocked the house with amazing fresh local produce and feasted for a week! Louise was fantastic with all her advice and communication and Patou was lovely and gave us a lot of history of the house as well as showing us where everything was. Overall a brilliant Airbnb experience and very highly recommended.

Response from Louise:

France, especially southern France with all its beauty and wonderful climate is our absolute favourite place to be.

We love to be in Pezenas year around and to explore the region on foot, bike, skis, car, and train.

We are delighted to share this passion through our rental accommodation at "Porte 22", which we have created exclusively for your holiday stay.

We joined Airbnb in August 2014 and we love their concept of facilitating holiday home experiences with a home owner's personal touch, and to give you the guests a chance to experience our town as a local.

Profitez-en tous!
