THIS IS A 6 BEDROOM HOUSE includes one huge room with two queen size beds and 4 rooms with double beds and I live in the 6th bedroom. The double rooms are big enough to accommodate a single bed as well as the double bed.
The rooms are completely furnished with bed, chest of drawers, desk, chairs and lamps and includes laundry service, soap, shampoo, towels, bedding ,INDIVIDUAL HEATED ROOMS and high speed wifi. Each listing is one bedroom, so even though one bedroom is reserved, I may still have 4 others that are not. therefore please contact me for availability.
The house is located across from an elementary school and right on the adanac bike trail to downtown. We are located one km to trendy commercial drive with all it's eclectic shoppes, and restaurants and just steps away from Historic Chinatown and a 2 minute drive to downtown vancouver by car. I am also located 10 minute drive from North Vancouver and all the sightseeing and mountainous trails over there.
buses are located one block to the south and 3 blocks to the north of my house. You may use the "bc translink" (trip planner) to accurately determine how far my house is from where you want to go if you wish to travel by bus. If you wish to travel to gas town or any shopping centre or library etc, just name it in your destination and the planner will provide you with very detailed information. You can use georgia and vernon drive (my house cross streets) as the start of your destination.
For those of you with a vehicle, there is free street parking in designated areas.
My house is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood. A light mix of residential and light industrial, very quiet at night, and weekends for being so close to downtown.
It's quiet :)
quiet house , please clean up after yourself (sink, countertops, bathroom and shower, shoes, floors, table) clean things after use and put them back where you got them from. Put garbage in the appropriate recycling bins, always keep your key with you and lock the door behind you. Thankyou
I had good experiences with Airbnb but it is one the best. Dianne is supper welcoming and polite. She is very funny and when I wanted to spend sometime for relaxation or to cool off, I had the best option of Dianne. The house is super clean and she provides almost everything. she offerred me the cookies she made, and they were super delicious..Thanks Dianne. I had my work in downtown and it takes me 15 minutes to reach there by bus, everything is close by, restaurants, grocery stores etc.. It was a great experience.
Dianne's place is comfortable and welcoming, and additionally a 20 min bus ride to the heart of downtown. She has everything a guest would need including a pretty well equipped kitchen. Dianne is also very accommodating and replies promptly to all requests. Definitely recommend this location to travellers coming to Vancouver.
I am grateful to Dianne for turning her house into a home away from home during the three months I stayed in Vancouver. She is truly a wonderful person with a great sense of humor and several times went out of her way to help. The rooms are comfortable and the location is great, with Commercial Drive and Chinatown within walking distance and good bus connections downtown (15-20 minutes) and to UBC (though the busride to UBC does take 60 minutes). I would definitely stay with Dianne again if I went back to Vancouver.
The location: Lovely house in a good neighborhood, right at the Adanac Bikeway and only a block away from bus lines to go Downtown. Convenience store, gas station and grocery store within a few minutes walking distance. Quiet at night, well lit area.
The house: Two story house with a spacious kitchen with working appliances, two bathrooms with clean, nice showers, a living room with cozy chairs, numerous bedrooms and lovely jungle/garden with chairs and plenty of shade in the back. Quiet at night, though that obviously depends on other guest too. Good WiFi too. We spent 12 nights (iirc) there, not a single complaint.
The host: Dianne is a really cool, down to earth and humorous person. She was very welcoming and always helpful providing maps of the city and bikeways, answering our questions and suggesting things to check out and do. Always looking after her guests, patient and in a good mood. Dianne is a great host, generous and generally a very pleasant person to be a around with :)
Thanks for the awesome stay and maybe see you again!
From our first contact via email, Dianne made me feel welcome both as a traveller to Vancouver and also as a first time Airbnb member. She is a gem and if all Airbnb propoerty owners are as generous and professional as she is, I may never stay in a hotel again! When I arrived at her house, we sat down in her back yard garden and she told me about the sites and about the public transportation. Dianne certainly loves her home town. Her place is conveniently located between Hastings St. and Venables St. which provides easy access to downtown and to Commercial Drive which is a great place to eat and shop. Her nicely decorated first floor helped me to feel right at home. My room was a nice size with plenty of towels. At the house, I met people from Canada, Europe, the US and Asia. I was on a business trip. Next time, I'm going to beautiful Vancouver as a tourist and will bring my friends. Dianne helped to make my experience memorable.
Dianne is a warm welcoming Host. Her Home is comfortable, clean and quiet. I would recommend to anyone visiting Vancouver.
Dianne is very friendly and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. The house and neighbourhood are pretty quiet, which is fine for me.

I am a prairie girl, moved to vancouver in 1996. I love working on heavy machinery. I enjoy hikes and doing anything pretty much as long as it is outside..rain or shine :).
