We had really great time in Rome. August is very hot month in Rome . We had big pleasure after all crazy, hot days in Rome to relax in very peaceful and quiet appartments.
The neighborhood is very safe and the location is very convenient. The host, Dilva was very helpful with everything what we needed. She prepared a welcome basket with fruits , tomatoes , pizza and some water for our first day. She explained how to use buses to get to center of Rome. Since we had our flight very early in the morning she printed our bording passes and reserved a taxi for us.
We were very happy to stay in this apartments and recommend them to others.

Dilva is an awesome hostess! She's very helpful and welcoming (pizza, tomatoes and fruits were waiting for me when I arrived; she ordered a cab to pick me up from the train station when I discovered that there was a public transportation strike, and even offered to pick me, if necessary). She's also non-intrusive - despite what the previous reviewer wrote.
The apartment is as described, and everything works perfectly. You'll have everything you need (I spent 6 weeks there and I didn't lack anything). Air conditioning is a real advantage in the summer, especially at this price.
Two things that I didn't know about the apartment (but they wouldn't have changed my decision to stay here, anyway): it is a semi-basement (it has full-sized windows, but windows are exactly at ground level); there is no door between the living room and the bedroom area.
The apartment is located in the beautiful Gianicolo area of Rome. But this also means that it is quite difficult to walk to the historical center (and, especially, walk back, because it is uphill). It is very well connected, though: bus stop is two small blocks away and there are buses that go to the historical center, as well as to the Vatican, Trastevere, etc.
Iuliana Thanks for your review.
To me you were a guest fantastic, respectful of house rules.
To your departure, I found my house very clean.
It 's true I never intrusive!! are the only guests as Cristal who used my house so terrible!
The Gianicolo and 'near Trastevere and the Vatican

Gianicolo and 'restful, relaxing after a day in the old town!
Thanks for appreciating everything '
It will be a pleasure to have you as a guest!
Excuse my bad English .....
This host made our vacation in rome a nightmare. to start off the location of the apartment is not accurate. to get to the city center (colosseum, trevi fountain, spanish steps) will take an hours walk and to get to the vatican takes 25 minutes. Even though on her page it said a 10 min walk to these places. After that my sister came to visit for 2 days and the host had her neighbours spying on us and the host locked us out of the apartment and when she finally let us into the apartment she yelled at us in italian for 2 hours refusing to leave the house and threatening to call the cops.
Other things along the way with her also came up, 1)she took away the remote control for the air conditioner because she felt we had it on too much 2) insistent that we keep our body lotions and other products in designated baskets?????
When we got there instead of having fresh fruits and jams laid out on the table like her pictures suggested there were half empty opened apple juice and expired butter. not very welcoming. This host does not know what she is doing and being so far away from the city for the price she is charging i suggest getting a place that is in the city and close to everything !
Dilva is a great hostess, very responsive and friendly, as well as accomodating to special requests like extra sheets and assisting with taxi transport back to the airport.
The apartment is in a great neighborhood on a hill - quiet (molto tranquilo), but easily walkable to Trastevere, markets, and restaurants. There is an amazing view of Rome a five minute walk away. The apartment itself is neat and clean, with all the listed amenities included, and everything was working properly (water, internet, etc...).
We really enjoyed our stay there - it was very comfortable and homey, and made our trip all the more enjoyable!
