The space
As Featured In Thrillist, The Washington Post, Sunset Magazine, Men's Journal, Lonely Planet, Travel + Leisure, Business Insider, FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, Good Things Utah, and Deseret News!

Available year-round for a gorgeous snowy escape to a romantic summer retreat for two adults. Please note that we do not have checkin/checkout options on weekends (Saturday or Sunday).

The Treehouse has all the amenities you’ll need for a comfortable and relaxing stay during any season. There are plenty of blankets and a heating system for winter months plus oscillating evaporative coolers and lots of windows for fresh mountain air when temperatures rise. Each season offers its own unique experience!

The Treehouse has a small, apartment-style kitchen with mini fridge/freezer, single stovetop, microwave, and essential supplies and cookware/utensils necessary for basic cooking and dining, including an electric water heater and automatic coffee maker. It also has a marine-style half bath with standing shower, toilet, and sink. Please be aware that children of any age are not able to stay in The Treehouse due to safety and we do not make exceptions to max guest count due to size.

Spend time unwinding with the Smart TV to stream your Netflix/Hulu/HBO accounts or go nostalgic with our BluRay player and extensive DVD collection or various favorite childhood games. You can also work remotely thanks to WiFi (yes, you're remote, but not unconnected). The private front deck is all yours to watch the sunrise and stars at night or get in a quick exercise session using the included Lululemon yoga mats and foam roller. We hope our resident Marvin the Moose makes an appearance for you!

Visit @theforgottencabins on IG for more details and checkout our other rental, The Hideaway Utah, located just up the lane by visiting our profile below!

Please be sure to read our house rules prior to booking to ensure that the experience we offer aligns with the experience you want to have. The rules we have rules in place are for your safety and the safety of our community, as well as meeting our HOA's expectations of us as hosts.

Guest access
This magnificent treehouse is situated on one acre nestled next to our chalet, where we live and work full-time with our circus of critters, and just down the lane from The Hideaway, our other property for rent (visit our profile for details).

Guests have full and private access to The Treehouse proper (interior and deck), but we ask that you respect the privacy of our home and the remainder of our property.

YEAR-ROUND VEHICLE REQUIREMENT
Our roads are unpaved; they are a combination of dirt, mud, gravel, ice and/or snow packed and not always plowed. A 4x4 or AWD with clearance is required for year-round access; FOUR METAL SNOW CHAINS ARE MANDATORY during winter and mud seasons (October 15th through May 31st).

We do not refund for inability to access or if we deny guest entry at any time due to insufficient equipment. If you get stuck, contact us immediately as you cannot block our single lane roads, which are also emergency exits. Recovery is at your expense and will cost $300+.

If you are looking to rent a vehicle, please be aware that traditional agencies like Hertz or Enterprise DO NOT ALLOW CHAINS ON THEIR VEHICLE (ie. they won't provide and you can't purchase since you don't know tire size upfront and chains are specific to tire size and not available for local purchase in our area). Your only option is to reach out to our partners at Mark Miller Subaru for an AWD rental. After you've booked, let us know your vehicle model; we have chains for rent that match their tire sizes. Chain rentals are $50/per stay.

Mark Miller Subaru donates 3% of your rental rate to Summit Land Conservatory, a local non-profit dedicated to preserving wild land for public use.

Other things to note
Our band of kiddos include two Mini Aussies and two outdoor cats, any of whom you may encounter during your stay (although none of them are allowed to sneak inside The Treehouse), but outside cuddles are very welcome!

Meet your hosts

I'm obsessed with: The Great Outdoors
Lives in Park City, Utah
Welcome to The Forgotten Cabins! Originally from San Diego, California, my husband, Gianni, and I slowly migrated up the coast through San Luis Obispo and San Francisco before making the leap to Salt Lake City, Utah. After a few years downtown, we moved our family of critters into a remote haven among the aspens at 8,000 feet. We now live in and work from our chalet with The Treehouse Utah nestled next door and The Hideaway Utah just up the lane. We cherish our solitude and love being surrounded by Mother Nature; we look forward to having you experience the same quietness and beauty when you visit.
