  • This is the front view of the 1840 Historic Magnolia Hotel that leads into the museum area. The bottom floor was once a log cabin, then stagecoach stop. The second floor was added in 1850 which became the elegant frontier Magnolia Hotel.

  • This is the private stairway leading up to the second floor 4 room suite/apartment  available for overnight stays.  The second floor was once a 10 room frontier hotel. The pictures on the wall are the previous owners from 1840-today.
  • Once climbing the stairs you will enter the living room known as "JJ's room." This room was one of the original 1850 hotel rooms. It was known to house numerous Traveling Salesman during their visits to Seguin.

  • The living room known as "JJ's room" has original wood flooring, doors and windows from 1850. The ceiling paint was matched to the original color. This room faces S. Crockett St where the stagecoaches would have arrived from 1847-1874.

  • Next room is the private bedroom with a queen size bed known as "Amelia's room." This room was also one of the original 10 room hotel that later became a room of the Herzog Boarding House. This room faces the large backyard of the Magnolia Hotel.

  • Directly outside of "John Doe's room" is a small non-cooking kitchen. It has a microwave, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker with coffee supplies. There is a table with four chairs to relax and enjoy your coffee. This window faces S. Crockett St.
  • Next room is known as "John Doe's room." It has a king size bed that also faces the Magnolia Hotel's backyard. It too was one of the original 10 room hotel later used as a boarding house. There is an adjoining door to both rooms that can be locked.

  • Next to the kitchen is a private in room full bathroom with a walk-in shower. We offer complimentary toiletries such as shampoo and soap. There is a hair dryer available if needed along with comfy towels. This room faces S. Crockett St.
  • This is a view of the same entrance stairway but is leading down the suite/apartment. The door leads out to S Crockett St and is your very own private entrance and exit. There is a beautiful stain glass window on the left side found at the hotel.

  • Before noon on the day of your arrival you can arrange to purchase the DVD of the episode that was featured on PBS called "Emma's Little Secret." It cost $22 and can be in your room when you check-in.
  • Before noon on the day of your arrival you can arrange to purchase one of our Magnolia Hotel Key Chains! They are $12 and can be waiting for you in you room. They come with a unique suitcase gift box too.
