Great apartment for a family of 4. Very rustic, all-wood Swiss "chalet" style house near the mountains. Very cozy and well-equipped. It is a bit out of town so getting there from the Lenk train station probably requires a bus or cab ride. You can also walk if you travel light. We had a car so that wasn't an issue. The house is on the main road to Lenk. Our host, Tony, was very friendly and helpful. He gave us lots of good advice on the best mountain walks to undertake with our 2 children. Lenk is the perfect mountain village if you want to avoid the crowds... We had an awesome time!

Tony's apartment is spacious and his kitchen is very well equipped. He was very helpful with meeting us at the train and with giving us an overview of the town, suggestions for restaurants, hikes etc. The apt. is on the main road so there some traffic noise but it quiets down at night and you mainly hear the river. We really enjoyed our stay in Lenk.

We had a wonderful stay in Lenk. Tony was an excellent host. He was friendly and welcoming, and available if we had any needs or questions. The area of Lenk is beautiful and we enjoyed the hiking. It is very friendly to tourists, but wasn't over-run by tourists. The inside of the house is very nice. It was very clean, we had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. It is within a 10 minute walk of Lenk and really anything you need. If you stay in Lenk, you don't spend that much time inside, so the location was really perfect for us. The only negative is that it is on the main road, but that was also a positive because it was easy to find and easy to get around the town. We really couldn't have been happier and you the price was so reasonable.

Great location! It has treks and hikes in abundance in the area nearby. Since, the road ends in nearby Lenk, the traffic is not a lot and it quietens down at night. Tony is a great host and being a traveler himself, he knows how to take care of guests.

Nice place, firendly owner and clean apartment. Wireless doesn't work very well.

This place was great. Although I can understand if for some people who wan peace and quiet in a mountain town being right next to a rather noisy main road can be a deal breaker, especially in summer when you want to open the windows, this is what allows the wonderful host to keeps the rates reasonable and affordable. In fact, the location is convenient for guests arriving on their own by train, since it's only about a 10-minute walk from the station along the main road. A place higher up in the mountain might be a challenge for some to climb to on foot with all their luggage. The location is also just across from the beautiful little Simme River which runs through Lenk. The place was actually a little bigger than I had imagined from the photos. In addition to the master bedroom in a separate room, the living room with the additional bed is also separate from the kitchen/dining room area, so both rooms offer privacy. One really great thing about Tony's place is how much attention to detail he put into having every amenity available, from all the kitchen utensils you could need, to an array of area maps, tourist information and activity guides, to a hair dryer and iron, to a clean, very functional bathroom, to an umbrella for a rainy day, to a washing machine, to a fly swatter. You'll need that fly swatter in the summer, though if you wish to open the windows to get some fresh air, because one of the charms of the Swiss countryside is Swiss cows, whence come creamy Swiss milk and butter and of course provide a key ingredient in delicious Swiss chocolate. If I can offer a couple of friendly suggestions to our host, they would be to install at least one screen window in each room to let the air in but keep the flies out, and also perhaps to move the smoke detector away from in front of the bathroom door so the humidity doesn't make it sound unintentionally. Another great feature of this place are some really comfortable chairs in the living room. After of long day of walking or hiking, it's so relaxing just to sit in them. The decor is pleasant, and the interior has a cozy woodsy feel. There is an traditional iron stove that completes the look, although this is presumably for use in the cold season. I had the pleasure of staying in a chalet halfway up the the mountain in Lenk with a Swiss friend 35 years ago, and to be able to come back and stay at Tony's very nice place was wonderful. I strongly recommend this place and want to thank the host.
