Our AirBnB is a family project. Please use our things gently. Be sure to look through all the photos in this listing :)

Graveled parking space for 4 vehicles. Do not park or drive on the grass.

Enjoy the spacious yards where we've provided a stone campfire area, roasting sticks, and a park-style grill. Buy firewood locally or from us. Bring your camp chairs, yard games, and charcoal. Do Not climb the old chimneys.

The patio presents a hot tub (cleaned after every check-out) and a table with seating for 4 overlooking a sloped yard and the forest edge adjoining the New River Gorge National Park.

For your comfort and ease, the cabin is equipped with key code entry on both first (ground) floor patio doors, electric central air and heat, nightlights, ceiling fans (second floor), and plush blankets when you want a little extra snuggle in your cozy. All bedding is laundered after every check-out. Don’t reshelf used blankets or pillows. The first floor’s flooring stays quite cool, year-round.

The first floor offers 2 queen bedrooms, a bathroom, coat closet, game room with pool table, mini fridge, grand game table, recliner sofas, board games, Roku TV, Blu-Ray/DVD player, and area information and maps. *Game table chairs aren’t to be treated as toys.

The second floor offers 1 king bedroom with a writing table and adjoining bathroom, 1 twin bedroom with two twin beds (may be converted to a king bed if requested) and outlets in the headboards, bathroom, full kitchen stocked with wares and appliances, dining area with seating for 8, comfy single recliners with a great view, laundry closet with detergent and dryer sheets, and 2 balconies: one overlooks the forest, meadow and sky and is great for wildlife watching and stargazing; and one views the road... great for counting cars.
Look for our printed Guidebook, usb charging station, and our Guest Book that you can read and leave a note for us to adore and future guests to enjoy - Where are you from? What are your favorite parts of your trip to the area? What area things to do and places to go do you recommend to future guests?

Bathroom provisions include linens, hairdryer, make-up remover, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, hand soap, moisturizer, swabs, and a few feminine hygiene products.

The kitchen has appliances, wares, essentials and amenities to get you started, as well as space for your things. You'll find a coffee drip pot and pod brewer, tea kettle, ground coffee, sugar and creamer. City water is on tap. Peek in all the doors and drawers and you’ll also find emergency items (sewing, first aid, fire extinguisher), outdoor grill items, cleaning supplies, and check-out instructions.

We only welcome well behaved dogs (up to 2) with their responsible pet-people who keep them off beds, furniture, linens, tidy after them indoors and outdoors, and do other awesome-pet-people things. If you're bringing your dog, indicate so in your reservation or with a message, then clean up as though it was never there. Be aware: a horse lives in the adjacent fields; and the cabin is in close proximity to a road, a highway, and thousands of acres of wilderness.

The Chickadee Cabin is named after the bird. Social, curious and always on the move, these little guys are often seen before they're heard. With black caps and white cheeks, watch for them at the forests edge all year-round.

-- Do Not enter the attic, it’s unfinished and without a floor. The locked closet in the king bedroom is our cleaning storage closet.
