Like my other two furnished apartments in the same location its super sunny and bright during the day, very peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing before or after a long day of work or sightseeing in Boston!:)

Available elegantly furnished for short-term stays (including fresh towels, linens, kitchen items, iron/steamer, etc) everything you might need while visiting Boston for business or sightseeing or while searching for a longer-term rental. A great hotel alternative.

The apartment is extremely convenient for any commute via subway/train or by car-and you can be in downtown Boston or the financial district within minutes. Located on a quiet one-way residential street with beautiful flower boxes and sidewalk gardens right around and corner from a brand new gourmet supermarket that just opened and a short 2.5 block walk to subway stop (red line) for an easy and fast T commute to Cambridge or anywhere in Boston, or with a car its a convenient 5 min drive from downtown Boston and a 5min drive to a nice beach with jogging paths next to the ocean. If you are visiting Boston for an event at the Convention Center at the Seaport-the apartment is only a 10min walk or a 5minute bike ride to or from the Convention Center.

Apartment is 2 blocks from coffee spots, cafes and markets and a few blocks to 2 of the best restaurants in South Boston- Amrheins and the trendy Franklin Cafe.
Included in the rental are all utilities, TV, dvd player and high-speed wireless internet.

Laundry, dry cleaning and private parking can be available for an additional fee and use of my car or bicycles is possible as well if desired but it is extremely easy and convenient to get anywhere in Boston or Cambridge from the apartment location by walking, bus or subway train.

Please let me know if you have any questions at all and I look forward to welcoming you to Boston. My own apartment is in the same brownstone so I am only a short phone call away if you need anything during your stay.

  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and it was good. The apartment is in a good location. T and bus stop are only 5 minutes away and going to places couldn't be easier. Kate is such a great host. She was very accomodating - easy check-in and check-out, she even took my for a little tour around the area!

  • Katherine is just the best host! She waited for us until we arrived, led us to the apartment which was really warm and cozy, she even made the bed out of the pull out sofa, she gave us a basket with soap, shampoo, bath salts and food for us to eat at breakfast!
We stayed there for a weekend and traveled with a dog, which Karherine dog sitted for us and taked him for walks both days!!
You won't find any other host like this in Boston, don't doubt about staying with her

  • This location is really great, clean, comfortable, very nice neighborhood, close to everything using public transport. I and my friends had a really great time in Boston. Katherine is a really nice person, really careful about her guests, really accommodating, she provided us plenty of information about Boston and very good ideas.
I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Boston. Thank you very much for everything.

  • Our experience with Katherine and her flat was perfect. The flat was clean, quiet, bright and well equipped. Everything worked well. Katherine answered quickly and with accuracy to our questions. We recommend her flat to other guests.

    November 2012
  • This apartment is great, has everything you need and Katherine is always happy to help and make your stay as comfortable as possible!

    November 2012
  • This place is just awesome! Who doesn't want to sleep in a four-poster canopy bed?!
We spent three nights here in November, and Kate made our stay one of the best in our two months travelling in the States. Kate was so helpful throughout the booking process, and providing directions for our arrival. She had a whole basket of tour pamphlets, maps of Boston and books on the history of the area, as well as a great little walking tour book, so we were able to peruse these on the comfy couches before heading out for a day of exploring.
It's a pleasant walk from this apartment to downtown Boston, mostly along the water by the Gillette Shaving World Headquarters (an enemy of Phill's, with his luscious ginger travelling beard). You can get to the North End/Little Italy area in about half an hour, and the South Station in about 20 minutes. Broadway T Station is also about a four minute walk away, and these trains go straight to Harvard. There's two great diners two blocks away - Mul's and My Diner - and you can get an awesome and huge breakfast for very cheap.
The apartment is so luxuriously furnished that we decided to just hang out there at night time. The sun in the morning is just lovely, especially now that it's getting cold again.
The kitchen is wonderfully stocked, with enough cutlery and crockery to hold a dinner party for twenty people, and a gas stove. Kate left us a welcome basket with some of the best hot chocolate I've had, and little snacks to make our stay excellent.
We would definitely recommend staying at Kate's place while in Boston!

  • This was a great stay. In addition to the place being in a decent location and having everything we needed inside (thanks for the snacks etc.---much appreciated for people just arriving in town and not knowing the locations of any stores!), Kate was nice enough to make things happen on short notice. A different AirBNB booking of ours fell through just days before our trip, and Kate did some extra work to accommodate our group.

I would recommend booking with Kate both for the apartment itself and because she was easy to contact and made it easy to co-ordinate the stay.

    October 2012
  • Just amazing! We felt like we were staying in a hotel! Katherine had a welcome basket with us and gave us great recommendations for the weekend. My best Air B&B experience yet. Just loved it!
