Your own private world only 15-20 minutes from downtown Portland! Stunning mid-century on over two acres, looking out over Sand Lake and our neighbors amazing 150+ acre farm. Everywhere you look is like a painting. The house has modern details, a gorgeous fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, two full bedrooms plus an office with fold down couch for extra sleeping option. large deck and seating for 6. You can eat in every night or venture into Portland to explore our amazing restaurants!

The space
Main house is 2000 sq feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, large deck with outdoor eating area- you will have the entire main floor.

The lower level will sometimes be occupied by one or more members of our family when we have work to do on the farm.

We have a caretaker's cottage on the property located approximately 100 feet from the main house. Our caretaker Mr. V tends to the animals each day and may be seen by guests in his comings and goings. Our 4 dogs will be on property at times as well. We also have roosters so you will hear some crowing in the morning and dogs barking now and again. We have lots of furry friends including cats who may want to come in for a snuggle (if you want ).
PLEASE NOTE- hot tub is not included in rental and is out of service after a catastrophic hot tub cover failure.

Where you’ll be

Portland, Oregon, United States

Sauvie Island is a local treasure often called "Portland's back yard". The island sits at the confluence of the mighty Columbia River and Willamette Rivers. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the country with easy access to Portland. While here visit farm stands, attend an outdoor concert, take a hike at Wapato Greenway just minutes from our front door. There is unlimited outdoor opportunity on the island: hiking, fishing, swimming at the beaches on the Columbia River side. Bring your hiking shoes and your sense of adventure.

The St. Johns neighborhood is accessed via the magnificent St Johns bridge just a few miles upstream from the island. St. Johns has great coffee shops, 2 cinemas, great restaurants and a laid back vibe.

Continue past the St. Johns bridge to access downtown Portland and the legion of arts, entertainment, dining and shopping that have made Portland the jewel of the Pacific Northwest.

I was born and raised in NE Portland and have always loved to travel ! My family and I have lived on Sauvie Island since 2010, but we spent 2 years living in Bali, Indonesia. Right now we are enjoying living in our house in NE Portland.
