Harbour View is a picture postcard of Dingle, its navy facade can be viewed from every spot on the marina. This incredible townhouse has all the views, spacious rooms, a beautiful large garden and as for the location, well you can’t beat it! It is right on the marina at the heart of Dingle’s bustling centre.

The home has stunning interiors with original features and an eclectic mix of old and new, furnished with antique, retro and contemporary pieces creating a boutique chic effect. Unique artwork adorned the colourful palette on the wood panelled walls. It’s just full of character!

Step outside and the plethora of great restaurants, music and bars that Dingle offers are right on your doorstep, not to mention boat tours, sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding.

Bedrooms

Moving upstairs via the gorgeous stairwell with exposed stonewalls, four spacious bedrooms with walnut wooden floors, chic furnishings and delicate art create the wow-factor.

To the front of the house is the en suite master bedroom, painted in restful mauve, with rich berry accents. A double bedroom decorated in soothing sage tones and a twin room with a subtle nautical blue feel—all commanding excellent views across the harbour.

A final double bedroom looking on to the garden, is a sunny apricot-toned delight with retro furnishings. All rooms have ample storage and the beds are all dressed in crisp white linen with colourful cushions and throws

Bathrooms

The main large family bathroom is on the first floor, featuring bold navy paint and an electric shower. There is a compact en suite with subway-tiled shower off the master bedroom and a toilet downstairs off the utility room.

Living Area

The stylish lounge is an elegant escape for sure. The sage and teal wood-panelled walls and oak floors are complemented with a brown leather chesterfield, plush navy velvet armchairs, an original mid century coffee table and atmospheric lighting. An idyllic spot to watch the world go by through the large windows out across the harbour to Eask Tower. It’s also the perfect snug to could just curl up and watch a movie on the flat screen TV.

Kitchen

Harbour View has a stunning, unique kitchen looking out onto the garden. The contemporary wall tiles and antique floor slate steal the show, the perfect backdrop for the modern white kitchen, walnut counters, Belfast sink and colourful delph.

The heirloom dresser has been updated with ornate tiles and hooks to hang utensils and sits alongside a contemporary fridge freezer. There is an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, vintage style kettle and toaster and a convenient breakfast bar nook that completes the facilities.

In times gone by, the utility room at the back would definitely have been called a scullery – this house just exudes an air of history, even with its updated decor! Here you’ll find a washer, dryer, microwave, WC and access to the large back garden.

Dining Room

Charming and elegant, the dining room is the perfect setting for a fancy dinner party and practical enough for family feeds. Leading off the kitchen it has views over the marina, an open fireplace, retro lighting and quirky hexagon shelving units holding trinkets and books. The original kitchen table still in place surrounded by six bistro chairs.

Outside Space

The patio is a little sun trap with alfresco dining and a steep set of steps that leads to a large garden that offers plenty of outdoor space and privacy, with its sloping lawns surrounded by hedgerows and views to the mountains cradling the town.

Access

The house is entered at street level, all bedrooms are upstairs.

Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland

Dingle Town

The colourful fishing town of Dingle boasts many attractions and there is always something fun to do with cultural events throughout the year including food, music, film and arts festivals. The town is surrounded by natural beauty with beaches, mountains and rivers to explore.

With over 50 pubs in the town, there is always a bit of craic to be had and live music every night. Dingle was named Ireland’s Best Foodie Town in 2014 so food lovers will be in heaven! There are so many good restaurants especially serving freshly caught seafood it is hard to just name a few, but you’ll find some of our favourites on the Stay YNA App. The Dingle Food Festival takes place every year over the first weekend in October and attracts thousands of visitors for its taste trail, demonstrations, wine tasting, workshops and entertainment. There is also farmers market on Fridays with all the award winning local produce Dingle has to offer on sale.

Dingle has long been associated with the arts too; it has the Beehive theatre, an arts cinema, numerous bookshops & literary events and its fair share of successful galleries showcasing local artists and artworks. The town is also an outlet for the very best of contemporary and traditional Irish art, craft and design in the south-west of Ireland. Visitors can buy handmade ceramics, glass, crystal, Jewellery, Wooden crafts, Prints, linen, knitwear and woven goods as well as traditional Irish musical instruments.

Dingle is in the gaeltacht (Irish speaking region) of the Peninsula and you will hear the Irish language spoken all over town and the surrounding villages out west. There are so many cultural activities in Gaeilga, every year students come from all over Ireland to join in the rich programme of events.

Not many visitors would leave dingle without an encounter with Fungie the bottlenose dolphin. He arrived in the harbour back in 1984 and decided the make the town his home. He has become a major attraction for visitors and locals alike and while most dolphins swim in pods, Fungie seems to prefer hanging out with humans rather than his own species and accompanies every boat that sails in or out of the harbour.
