The home is on the national register of historic places and is particularly noted for its rare collection of 1920‘s Batchelder tile. The hand-made tiles while typically only found sparingly used around fireplaces abound in the Great Room of the home with an entire floor made of this rare and unique tile.

Interaction with Guests
We love all our guests and treat them as instant family. Our resident sleepy but large 110 lb Black Russian Terrier is always home but never will wander into the European Hide Away or anywhere there are dark woods in the home. He loves children and guests of all age. He lives for a quick pat on the head before quietly sighing and nodding back off to sleep.
Ruby-throated hummingbirds, wild parrots and Great Horned Owls in the evening abound naturally in this completely gated magical yet majestic setting. Extraordinarily quiet this home overlooking the Annandale golf course and views of the city is a place to relax in the evenings next to the outdoor fire place chimenea and take in the spectacular sunsets with a glass of wine or sun tea.
The estate in the past has been both a filming location, as well as a backdrop to international model celebrity shoots and host to multiple fund-raising events with indoor/outdoor cocktail parties exceeding a guest list of over 100 on special request.

My mom and I traveled to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl this year and happened upon TJ's listing. This was our first time using airbnb, and we were more than impressed! TJ's home is gorgeous, tasteful, comfortable, and conveniently placed location-wise. Furthermore, TJ himself was a remarkable host. His generosity surpasses many if not all hosts I've ever had of a home, regardless of the fact that we had never met him before! On New Years Eve night he skillfully made us cocktails and supplied delicious appetizers for us to enjoy. Each morning he had a beautiful breakfast set-up complete with anything desired. He is a very interesting and fun person to be around, and my mom and I are counting down the days until we can return to sunny Pasadena!
The room itself was fantastic with a very comfortable bed, personal heating unit, and great shower. This truly was one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen, and it is placed in a wonderful neighborhood. Additionally, the view of all of Los Angeles and Pasadena is stunning! TJ goes above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. Overall, I highly recommend this listing!!
Beautiful home with breathtaking views. Our host was awesome and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely return on my next trip to the ara.
We were warmly welcomed by our gracious host, TJ, upon our arrival. Our room, European Hide Away, was quiet with sumptuous bedding that made for a lovely night's sleep. Each evening TJ had a yummy tray of munchies to compliment our wine at sunset outside on the veranda overlooking the spectacular view. One evening TJ joined us outside. Each morning TJ provided the most delicious French pressed coffee along with assorted cereals, sweet rolls, juice. This exquisite home is located in one of the most premier neighborhoods in Pasadena.
T.J. Was quite the host. From the warm and friendly welcome upon our arrival to the day of our departure, T.J. made us feel as if his home was our home. We were awed by the exquisite furnishings and layout. Situated in an upscale neighborhood in the foothills of Pasadena, we saw Los Angeles in the evening light from his great room window that encompassed an entire wall.
Our room looked exactly like the pictures indicated on the website. It was very clean (as was the whole house) and tastefully appointed. The posting did not indicate continental breakfast. In spite of such, T.J. provided French pressed coffee, juice, pastry etc. each morning.

A NY transplant to the Los Angeles Area. I love to travel and have been to every continent excluding Antarctica. Have always enjoyed Asia and Africa particularly and most things just off the beaten path. . . . I love to entertain, meet new people and enjoy life in Pasadena with a view of the ocean on a clear day.
