Enjoy sharing this Ausable river front home by staying in a private lower-level walkout. WE LIVE ABOVE. This gorgeous log home is on the famous Holy waters. The bottom story is a finished lower level with a separate entrance and living area from the homeowners above. The suite has a walk out onto the patio with a gentle slope to 200 ft of rocky bottom river frontage. This is located five miles from the city of Grayling. You will be close to hiking trails, hiking, snowmobile trails, and skiing.

The space
Walk out the living area to a shared patio with fire pit. A fire pit is also located down by the river front. Located close to town near breweries, canoeing, hiking, fishing, and kayaking, snow shoeing, and skiing.
We have two pair of snowshoes you are welcome to use upon request. Northbound outfitters rents snowshoes. Close to head trails for snowmobiling. Parking available for snowmobile trailer.
This is a flies only and catch and release section of the Ausable.

Guest access
Kayaks/canoes are not available on site. The liveries in town are Penrod's, Carlisle, and Borchers. If you would like to try the Manistee River, then we suggest Shel-Haven.

Other things to note
There are steps down to the guest entrance. Not wheelchair accessible.

Since this is a shared home, there is only one thermostat for heat and central air. This thermostat is on our level and not accessible to guests unfortunately. We try our best to maintain 68-70ish degrees. If you have a preference with in reason we will also try to accommodate. We do have fans and a space heater to help accommodate.
Kayaks/canoes not available. Local liveries are Penrods, Borchers, and Carlisle. If you want to try the Manistee River, then Shel-Haven would be a good option.
We have a mini barn with goats and chickens. Please feel free to visit the animals. They love to eat ANY food. Share you leftovers with them :)
Please shower prior to hot tub use and no lotions on. This will help keep the hot tub water clean for next guests.
