The house is 6.7 miles from the airport. It's 10 minutes by car. Downtown Austin is one mile from the house. I'll go over the options for getting to the house from the airport. You could get a taxi or you can also opt for the bus. There's a bus that's called the airport flyer that takes you straight downtown from the airport. Very few if any stops in-between so it's fairly quick. Once you're downtown you'll be about one mile from the house so you could take a taxi from there or transfer to another bus which would take you to a bus stop a few blocks from the house. There's also the commuter rail that stops at the convention center downtown and then the next stop is at a location about 5 blocks from the house. Easy to walk to the house from that stop.
The reservation was canceled 23 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Robert's house is just awesome. Plenty of room for a large group (we had 10) to stay comfortably. It was only about a mile from downtown Austin, so we basically walked every day (though cabs and public transportation were also an option - we just wanted to enjoy the nice weather). He's got all the amenities and is also very close to a couple of great BBQ and Mexican restaurants so we were never far from an amazing meal. We also could have cooked, but we decided to take in the local cuisine instead. Check-in/check-out was super easy. Robert was there if we needed him, but nothing came up. We also really loved the code lock for the door because we didn't have to worry about shuffling around keys. I kind of want one of those for my own door! This place is perfect for a relaxing stay in Austin, especially if you plan to be downtown a lot. East Austin has an awful lot of gems as well. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We had a fantastic time at Roberts home in Austin. Everything was as described. Newly renovated house in a quiet neighbourhood with wonderful character. The accommodations, layout and facilities of the house were perfect for our group of 7 (even if A.Y. Jackson couldn't make it :o)
Close to downtown, Congress Ave and 6th St. I would recommend Roberts place to anybody.
Andrew, Deb & family
Ten of my closest friends traveled down to Austin for my bachelor party and picked a great house. It had everything we needed for our stay. Great Kitchen, clean bathrooms, living space, and a great deck to lounge around. I would recommend this place if your looking for a great home for 10 people.
Went with 8 girls for a bachelorette party and the house worked out perfectly! Great location, only a 5 minute cab ride from downtown!
An amazing house! Great for entertaining with large open living space complete with a huge flat screen TV and deck that comfortable seats 15. Lovely space. The only drawback is the neighborhood.. which is in transition.
We stayed at Robert's place for a bachelor party - was a fantastic house and location. Robert was very communicative, no problems, everyone had a great time and would highly recommend for anyone considering a stay in Austin, especially if you have a handful of people. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.
Robert's house was nice and big! We had 6 girls and plenty of space. We spent mornings and afternoons on the very large back balcony. The location is a two minute drive from the very popular Rainy Street. I recommend checking out Cenotè on Caesar Chavez for breakfast and coffee.
This was the perfect place to stay for my sister bachelorette party. The house was much more spacious than expected. Robert was a great host! He made sure we had everything we needed for our trip. We will definitely be using his rental again and recommending his place to others looking to stay in Austin! Thank you, Robert, for making my lil sister's night out so incredibly memorable.
I would definitely rent this house again in the future. It worked great for our party of 7 people (3 couples and a single). The open floor plan really worked well for us. Robert was a great host. He communicated with me and left us with a clean, homey environment. The house is centrally located to coffee shops, restaurants, and bars, etc. and close to the hike and bike trail. If you are thinking of renting this house...do it, you won't regret it!
