Loved it!!! We had such a great time at the lodge that we only wished we'd discovered it sooner. It's remote enough to be an excellent retreat and close enough to nearby towns if you feel like going out. Thank you for being the perfect hosts!
The place was nice and spacious and lived up to the description, although it was much further from Yosemite than we realized (approx two hour drive) but did enjoy exploring Sierra National Forest on the second day of our weekend trip.
Although you may never meet Brenda, she is always there and on top of things every step of the way of your stay. She is very thorough in making sure that you have all the proper information for a great experience. We stayed at the Rose Suite and found it a great place in a wonderful location for someone that wants to have a good experience in Yosemite. The place is very comfortable, clean and tidy.
We had a wonderful time, the place is perfect. We brought charcoal and an iron skillet to cook meals on the grill. Worked wonderfully and added to the rustic feel. Everything really was fabulous, my wife and mother loved it and we all slept well. Only catch is that the 1.5 hour drive to and from Yosemite Valley can be exhausting and the winding roads are best traversed in daylight.
I didn't meet Brenda in person but the lodge is so adorable and comfortable! We stayed in the Rose Suite and all things are rose themed. The heating worked very good. The location is quite good if you have a car. Beautiful surroundings!
