Interaction with Guests
I live in the same apartment but will be out for a holiday. I am glad to share many nice tips about my city.
The Czaar Peterstraat is located at the eastern part of the Amsterdam city centre. The street itself has some great delis - Mondo Mediterraneo, Fromagerie Kef, Sprezzatura, Olie & Zo - and a cozy coffee bar Helena Primakoff. At one end of the street is the famous IJ Brewery and Bar, located in an old windmill. At the other end, hidden behind newspaper offices, is Amsterdam Roest. This is a new bar in an old factory.
The beautiful Artis Zoo & Hortus Botanicus are at walking distance, just as the Eastern Docklands. This latter area has been an important harbor area (the Dutch once ruled the world from this place) and is now known for its modern architecture.
Good restaurants close-by are the Lloyd Hotel, De Plantage (at Artis Zoo), Wilde Zwijnen, and De Kas. For going out in the neighborhood, check out Club Trouw, Club Canvas, and Cinema Kriterion.
The apartment is located 10 minutes by bike or public transport from Amsterdam Central Station. Using public transport, take Tram 26 from Central Station in the direction of IJburg and get off at Rietlandpark. From there you can walk into the Czaar Peterstraat.
Tram 10 stops in front of the apartment and takes you in 10 minutes to the city centre (canal area), the Museum Square (Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, and Van Gogh Museum), the Vondelpark, and the Westerpark.
Other Things to Note
PS On the apartment photos there are two white closets in the living area. These have been removed. The place looks more spatious now.
When leaving the apartment:
- don't forget to take the key with you,
- please lock all doors and close all windows,
- turn off the coffee machine, lights, and heating,
- and carefully close the building door at ground/street level without locking it.
Really nice apartment. Everything was clean and tidy. Roel was a great host, súper friendly.
I enjoyed staying at Roels place! It is very light, tidy. The room has acess to a balcony, a huge bed in which I slept very well. His flat is situated in a calm, beautiful neighourhood.
Roel was friendly and very helpful concerning my questions where to go, what to see, etc.
So I can really recomend his place!
Roel he is a great host and he helped us as possible as he can, even though he went to Paris during the days we lived, but he also care about us very much. More over, the flat is very bright, amazing, lovely, and very comfortable to live, and very easy to take tram to anywhere. My friend and I are very like lived his flat during four days. We really like this place ^^
I had a fantastic time staying with Roel. He was extremely helpful showed me everything I'd need on the street and sent me a helpful email with great site seeing suggestions. Great location with everything you need in walking distance and great bed to sleep in.
A very nice apartment hosted by the very supportive Roel.
Having only a few nights in Amsterdam I was out a lot & only got to spend time with Roel at arrival, but enjoyed conversing with him & was thankful for the advise he had on Amsterdam (especially food locations; yum:).
Roel offered maps & kindly checked in with me to see how I was going. I loved the location as was away from busy central but close enough to get there easily.
Thanks again Roel.
Very nice and beautiful apartment. The room was spacious and clean. It was a little far from the centre but has an easy tram access to the central just below. Roel was a very friendly and welcoming host. Will surely stay here when I visit again. :)
The appartment is really nice and located in a quiet neighborhood not far from Central Station. Clean, simple and cozy. Roel was not there during my stay but he was always available by phone and made sure that we had everything needed. Definitely recommend !
