studio apartment in newer building....right in the middle of the brooklyn art scene. (website hidden) ...desktop computer with large monitor, internet and wifi. free street parking. clothing washers and dryers in building basement. a block from an amazing health foods store and a full sized standard grocer a block further. only 20 min from the city during rush hour. jmz, g and L trains nearby...only a block away from the jmz. lots of restaurants, bars and things to do!
My boyfriend and I had the best time at Ben's studio! It's adorable, quiet, and has amazing heat (my apartment doesn't, so it was a nice change!). There are also tons of books and movies in so many genres, which was cool.
Ben was a fantastic host and always answered my questions promptly. To top it all off, Jerry is so affectionate and definitely the sweetest cat I've ever met.
Benjamin was an incredible host! he was extremely diligent about communication and our comfort was his first priority.
the space is small but, by New York standards, VERY comfortable. kitchen, bathroom, wifi AND a computer. plus it's only a second floor walkup - a true NYC luxury! you're in the heart of the up and coming art scene in Bushwick and within walking distance to some amazing places: Roberta's, Dun-Well Donuts (vegan!), Shinobi Ramen and the best vintage thrift store in Brooklyn, Urban Jungle. train is less than 5 minute walk away.
thanks again, Benjamin, for being so flexible with our extension. looking forward to you hosting us again!
This was our first experience with AirBnb and it was a great one. Ben was absolutely AMAZING, from start to finish--he is a fantastic communicator, and super-helpful. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
The space was great if you are doing what you SHOULD be doing in NY, which is being gone most of the day :). We only had two minor issues: 1) When you are forced to stay in and work part of the time, like we had to, it starts to feel cramped because there isn't a lot of space (it's a studio after all). But there is a big desk and computer available for use, so that was a huge bonus. And most normal people don't have to do a lot of work while on vacation. The other good thing is that the wifi was reliable, which was another huge bonus. The other minor issue is Jerry, who is adorable, but will definitely get into your suitcase if you aren't careful. If you aren't an animal lover, or if you aren't a fan of snuggly cats, you probably won't enjoy this space (although, it's possible that Jerry will win you over).
Overall, though--it was a great experience and super-close to the subway!
Ben was a great host. He communicated well leading up to and during our stay, ensured the place was clean for our arrival, offered suggestions for things to do in town, and was flexible in meeting up with us after we were delayed driving into the city. His cat Jerry was very friendly -- some might say overly so! :) But as cat lovers, we didn't mind. We'd definitely stay at his place again.
Benjamin's place is great. I would def stay here again. The place is clean and comfortable and anything you may need you can find within a few blocks away. The subway is super close too. If you are staying in Bushwick this is a great option. Ben is a very nice guy who was always available too.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Ben's place for the weekend. He was more than helpful with activities to do. He was also extremely accommodating, not that we had any major requests. The cat we had to watch was very friendly and his place was spotless. :)
Ben was a great host! He was really friendly and gave me some great tips on what to do in the city. In my personal situation, I had a really funky and irregular schedule, but he was totally accommodating and flexible with check-in and check-out.
Benjamin has a great apartment if you need a place to stay that is close to the city, close to transportation and close to central Bushwick. The home has everything you need for a short stay and the layout is very efficient. There is s sleeping area, an office area, a kitchen, and a living area all nicely laid out. I would definitely stay there again if the opportunity presented itself. His cat is also extremely adorable and friendly!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We (me and my boyfriend) had a great stay stay week!! Felt like home right away, in his nice, clean and cozy place. Everything we could have asked for on the other side of the world. Free wifi, fresh linnen, nice shower and great bed to name a few things.
We were welcomed by the most adorable cat and after taking care of him for 5 days, it was sad to say goodbye!
It's only 15 min by subway to Manhatten (great views during the ride), but there's also enough to see/ do in Brooklyn!
Ben is an easy going and really friendly guy, who wants you to have a great stay. Flexible with checking in and out and helpful if you have any questions.
We definitely recommend Ben's place. Thank you!!
